The Love Islanders who found love OUTSIDE the villa…with a different Islander

LOVE Island bed-hopping isn't confined to the villa – and several former cast members have found love with stars from their own or other series after leaving the show.

Surfer girl Lucie Donlan, 22, proved to be unlucky while on the ITV show but has coupled up with two ex-islanders since.

But she's not the only one mixing between series.

Here, we take a look at who's found love outside of Love Island with former participants.

Budding rapper Wes Nelson, 22, has dated a string of beauties from the villa since leaving the show.

He proved popular with the ladies – dating both Laura Anderson, 29, and Megan Barton Hanson, 26, during the six-week show.

While he left loved-up with Megan, the pair split just a few months after the show ended when he was on Dancing On Ice.

After their 2018 breakup, Megan claimed Wes only cared about work and money – but that hasn't stopped him bagging another Love Island babe.

In 2019 Wes revealed he was dating Arabella Chi, 28, who went into the villa a year after he did.

The pair posted a series of loved up snaps on their social media before shockingly splitting after nine months together.

It lead to Wes moving out of the swanky pad he shared with Arabella.

Lucie Donlan might not have found true love in the villa but she's certainly made up for it since.

After leaving the show she reconciled with former beau Joe Garratt, 24, and announced their relationship with a series of steamy snaps on Instagram.

The villa romance ended with him being dumped by viewers and Lucie admitting she fancied Tommy Fury.

But it seemed even on the outside things weren't smooth sailing.

After four months together the pair secretly split after Joe was filmed getting flirty with fellow Islander Amber Gill, 23.

But Lucie hasn't struggled to find a new boyfriend – as she is now coupled up with Luke Mabbott, 25, from the winter series.

She slid into the Justin Bieber lookalikes DMs after he broke up with Islander Demi Jones, 21.

Again, she announced her new romance on Instagram with a series of flirty snaps.

They're still going strong after seven months and Lucie hopes he will propose this year.

She said: "He's the best friend as well as a boyfriend. Luke is so calm and caring. He's very positive and I just love spending every minute with him. He's definitely The One. When you know, you know."

The Essex lad, 24, won the 2017 series of Love Island with then girlfriend Amber Davies, 24.

But their whirlwind relationship fizzled out four months after taking home the £50,000 prize.

Not one to be disheartened, Kem quickly set his eyes on another brunette beauty from the villa, Kendal Rae-Knight, 26.

While neither pair have ever officially confirmed they had a romance, The Sun caught them kissing.

The pair had a swanky date in London but sadly nothing more came from it.

Irish beauty Maura Higgins, 30, doesn't shy away for going after exactly what she wants – even if it breaks someone else's heart.

The model coupled up with Curtis Pritchard, 24, in the villa days after he broke former flame Amy Hart's, 26, heart.

They stayed together for the rest of the series and had a romance in the outside world.

But after seven months together, and several cheating rumours, the pair finally split.

In true form, it didn't take Maura long to get herself a new man and eventually went public with Chris Taylor, 28, after months of speculation.

Chris was in the same series of the show as Maura and the pair claimed they were just close friends when quizzed.

When they finally confessed to their romance, Chris said: "Turns out I fell in love with my best mate."

The pair are still going strong and often appear on each other's social media to the delight of fans.

Viewers saw Laura Anderson have her heart crushed by Wes Nelson when he broke up with her to get with Megan Barton Hanson.

But that didn't put her off Love Island boys – even when second man Paul Knops, 31, broke up with her when they left the villa.

She opted for a third Love Island hunk in the form of Max Morley, 27, who won series one.

The pair seemed to be very loved up and enjoyed trips to Dubai together, but sadly things did not end happily.

They had a brief split before reconciling, only to break up for a second time despite plans to live together.

An Insider said: "It's really sad but it's over again between them.

"Things had got really serious – his dad was even building them a house up north to live in – but it's not worked out.

"They've unfollowed each other on Instagram and it's properly over this time."

Kaz Crossley, 23, thought she had found love on the show when she coupled up with Josh Denzel, 28.

The pair had a series of romantic holidays which they showed off on their social media.

But after a trip to Jamaica, Kaz revealed they were no longer an item but gave no reason as to why.

She then opted to try another Love Island bad boy, Theo Campbell, 29.

The pair dated for six months and she supported him after he went blind in one eye after it was hit by a champagne cork.

But by February 2020 it was all over, with Kaz dumping Theo.

Rebecca, 21, might have been unlucky on the romance front while in the villa but that didn't stop her trying her luck on one of the hunks once outside.

She coupled up with Biggs Chris, 27, shortly after they both left the ITV show without finding a partner.

But it's not been smooth sailing as Biggs' ex-girlfriend claimed their romance was faked.

He was forced to apologise to Rebecca when the text's he sent claiming it was all for show went public.

The pair soldiered on and are still together despite being kept apart by lockdown.
