Mum hit car and yelled 'f*** off you p***' in front of her son, 6, after being 'cut up' on motorway

A MUM hit a car and yelled "f*** off you p***" in front of her six-year-old son after she was 'cut up' on the motorway.

Emma Fallon, 39, from Merseyside, swore at a driver and stuck her fingers up at them in a Trafford Centre car park on July 20 last year.

Fallon's son begged her not to confront the other driver, the Manchester Evening News reported.

Prosecutor Tess Kenyon told Manchester Magistrates' Court yesterday: "The defendant, the passenger, put the window down and said 'remember me? We were the people on the motorway you couldn't give way to, f****** a******."

The target of Fallon's tirade became "really worried", the court heard.

Ms Kenyon said: "At one point she could hear a small child in the back of the other car saying 'no mum'."

Fallon then hit the car and racially abused the victim, the court heard.

"As she walked away she said 'f*** off you p***," Ms Kenyon said.

The victim, who is from Pakistan, was deeply upset at being abused.

Fallon "accepted that she overreacted", Ms Kenyon said.

Fallon told the court that she "snapped".

She said: "My little boy screamed, he thought we were going to have a car crash.

"I'm very protective of my family. One of the worst things I fear is my little boy growing up without a mum or a dad.

"Something in me snapped, I can't explain what it was. For the life of me I don't know why I did it."

Fallon wrote a letter to the victim apologising for her actions.

She pleaded guilty to racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm or distress in words or writing, and was sentenced to a community order for 12 months.

Fallon was also ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.

Chairman of the bench Richard Lenderyou said: "You have done it in front of the child. I'm sure this will be something that will stay with you for a long time."
