Man, 79, found slumped over dead with head injury in North London as police launch murder probe – The Sun

A MURDER probe has been launched after a 79-year-old was found dead with a head injury in a leafy London street.

Anthony Rooks was given emergency treatment after being discovered slumped in the street in Tufnell Park, North London, but was sadly declared dead at the scene.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being quizzed in custody after the horror yesterday at around 7.20pm.

Police confirmed a post-mortem will take place on Thursday to establish a cause of death.

They said both the suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
