Former Melbourne lord mayor Robert Doyle has apologised for the pain he has caused, in his first interview since he was has accused by three women of sexual harassment and misconduct.
Mr Doyle said he was aware that speaking publicly would draw attention back to this actions again, but he felt an obligation to speak.
“I have an obligation to say to those people that I’m sorry and I wanted them to hear that directly from me, that I’m sorry,” he told 3AW’s Neil Mitchell.
