Families do social distance dancing in the street to keep their spirits up during coronavirus lockdown – The Sun


AS people across the country try to keep their spirits up, for some the time is right for dancing in the street.

Residents of Springbourne in Frodsham, Cheshire, enjoy distance dancing each morning.

The classes are led by fitness instructor Janet Woodcock, 54.

Each session starts with the Neighbours soap theme tune.

Janet said: “The way it’s brought us all together is just fabulous. It feels heartwarming.”

Meanwhile, sheep have been flocking to a closed children’s play area in Preston.

Hairdresser Debbie Ellis, 52, filmed them gambolling on a roundabout.

The mum of three’s clip has gone viral online.

She said: “They love to jump on and have a go.

“They look like they’re having a great time.”

One family decided to brighten up their street by turning their house into a rainbow of colours.

Fern Taylor, 26, daughters Arabella, four, and Matilda, two, and partner Marco DeFazio, 28, spend six hours colouring in bricks in Wellington, Somerset.

She said: “The amount of people that have stopped and smiled,  and cheered us, on has been so sweet.”

And in Hull, Rich Clark, 37, dresses up as movie superhero Iron Man. He said: “We can keep the kids entertained during this difficult time.”
