Evelyn Mae Boswell search continues as cops ‘recover mystery item from under trailer’ owned by uncle – The Sun

COPS searching for Evelyn Mae Boswell reportedly recovered something from underneath the trailer she and her family had lived in before she disappeared in December.

Investigators on Friday found “something from under the trailer in a brown or orange-colored bag," according to Zachary Warfield, a current resident of the trailer in Tennessee.

Warfield told the Bristol Herald Courier he was at home in the trailer in Blountville, Sullivan County when the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) searched the property.

It wasn’t immediately clear what they recovered.

Little Evelyn has been missing since December and her mom Megan Boswell has since been arrested for lying to police.

The girl's uncle, Tommy Boswell Jr., owns the property where the trailer is located at the Lakeshore RV Park.

Search warrant documents, per the news outlet, stated cops were looking for a pillow and a piece of Styrofoam during their search.

Warfield said investigators have searched the area at least two other times.

He and his family moved into the trailer, where Evelyn used to live, a few months ago, he said, telling the Herald Courtier: “I just really hope they find that child.”

Investigators were pictured searching the home after obtaining the search warrant and left after a few hours.

Agency spokesperson Leslie Earhart told WCYB they were executing a search warrant "as part of an active and ongoing investigation"

Earhart added: "That was not the first search warrant executed in this investigation, and it will probably not be the last."

Evelyn, who is 15 months old, vanished late last year, but her disappearance was not reported until February 19 when an Amber Alert was issued.

Police say they have received more than 750 tips since the investigation began.

The search comes after police said they couldn't confirm whether Evelyn had been seen with her grandma two weeks ago.

Reports suggested the baby was spotted in a restaurant in the small North Carolina town of Yadkinville.

Cops and witnesses previously said Evenlyn was thought to have been seen at a KFC with her grandmother and her boyfriend in the last few weeks.

But it turns out those allegations weren't true as the TBI confirmed Friday: "There have been no confirmed sightings."

"Investigators continue to track down leads in an effort to find her."

That was not the first search warrant executed in this investigation, and it will probably not be the last.

Grandmother Angela Boswell and her boyfriend William McCloud were placed in custody earlier this month after fleeing to North Carolina.

KFC employee Ashley Hutchens said she was working the front counter when the man, woman and girl came in.

Evelyn's mother, 18-year-old Megan Boswell was arrested this week for lying to investigators.

Megan Boswell initially said Evelyn was with her father, who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Louisiana, and later said her mother had taken the little girl to a campground in Mendota, Virginia.

No signs of Evelyn were found at campgrounds in Mendota.

Evelyn's great-grandfather David Jones said she has not seen her since before Thanksgiving.

Anyone with information in regards to the whereabouts of Evelyn is urged to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
