This kitty is taking a stand and fighting for a good paws — against racism.
A string of cat posters covering up alleged racist messages began popping up all over Manchester, England, according to local blog the Manc.
“There was some racist rubbish here but I covered it up with this picture of a cat,” the fliers read.
The meow movement is believed to be combating a smear campaign against the environmental group Extinction Rebellion.
Images of the fake signs reportedly circulated on social media, showing the organization’s hourglass logo and distinctive font.
Extinction Rebellion’s homepage states: “We are facing an unprecedented global emergency. Life on Earth is in crisis: scientists agree we have entered a period of abrupt climate breakdown, and we are in the midst of a mass extinction of our own making.”
It is unclear what the alleged racist messages against the climate coalition were.
The British city of Brighton was targeted as well, the Manc reported.
Extinction Rebellion recently made headlines after an activist associated with the faction scaled Big Ben while dressed as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
