This year the National Television Awards returns in September 2021 after an eight month delay due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Comedian Joel Dommett will be hosting for the first time.
Last year, when the country was on full lockdown, the prestigious awards ceremony was pushed back from January to April, When a second lockdown was enforced, organisers delayed the ceremony and the date is now set for Tuesday September 9 at London’s 02 Arena.
Today (Tuesday May 25), lines open for you to vote for all the major categories. It will be down to you to decide who will be walking away with one of the coveted NTA trophies.
This year nominations include the brilliant Line of Duty, Bridgerton and I May Destroy You. They are part of a whopping 39 nominees in the Best Drama category. 72 stars have been nominated for the Best Drama Performance.
This year the NTA’s have introduced a new Authored Documentary category. This category honours and recognises the thought-provoking celebrity-led films and documentaries that have got us all talking this year.
The nominees for the inaugural award include GMB’s Kate Garraway, who allowed cameras to document how the pandemic has affected her family in Finding Derek and footballer and social campaigner Marcus Rashford who spearheaded a national campaign in Feeding Britain’s Children.

The category also sees former footballers Rio and Anton Ferdinand go up against each other for their documentaries on Stepfamilies and racism in football. And Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, whose documentary on colourism and racism in the music industry has also been given a nomination.
Other categories highlighted include, Best Talent Show, nominated shows include The Mask Singer, The Voice and Britain's Got Talent. Best TV Presenter, where Ant and Dec have won for a record breaking 19 years, but could Holly and Phil, Bradley Walsh or Graham Norton finally end their reign?
Best Challenge Show, Returning Drama, The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, Serial Drama, Daytime and Comedy are also among the categories.

You can cast your vote from the website of the National Television Awards. Voting is free in all of the categories and limited to only once per person.
The final date to cast your vote is Friday, June 4 2021 and voting lines close at 11pm.
