On Friday, January 7, viewers of The Today Show noticed when Hoda Kotb was absent from her hosting duties two days in a row.
Hoda did not co-anchor The Today Show on the previous date of Thursday, January 6.
She revealed her lack of presence on the famed morning broadcast was due to contracting Covid19.
The broadcaster tweeted on Thursday, "Thx for well wishes! Feeling good…cant wait to see you all when I am in the clear! Xo"

What did Hoda Kotb's fellow co-hosts say about her absence?
Hoda Kotb's Today Show co-host, Jenna Bush Hager, disclosed to the audience why Hoda was not present.
On Thursday, January 6, Hager began her statement: "I want to mention the reason Hoda is off."
She continued: "Like so many others, she tested positive for COVID."
"I texted with her this morning. She's doing totally fine and she'll be back here pretty soon," Hager concluded.
Is Hoda Kotb married?
Since 2013, Hoda Kotb has been in a relationship with New York financier Joel Schiffman.
The couple met after Hoda was speaking at an event for Wall Street professionals.
On November 25, 2019, Hoda announced live on Today that she was engaged to Schiffman.
"I was totally shocked," she told the Today panel. "He had a good poker face."
"We ended up having a little dinner on the beach," she said, clarifying that the two were in the middle of a tropical vacation.
"And he was like, 'I have something else I would like to say,' and he said some beautiful things, and then he got down on one knee. Then he said, 'Would you be my wife?'''
The pair have two adopted daughters together: Haley Joy Kotb and Hope Catherine Kotb and plan to adopt a third child.
