Manchester librarian Laura Haddock investigates her brother’s death in Ibiza in the new Netflix series White Lines. Many subscribers have been obsessively rewatching the new thriller from the creator of Money Heist Álex Pina during the coronavirus lockdown and spotted some revealing clues in the second episode.
White Lines has become known as one of the most original new crime series in recent years.
Laura Haddock’s (played by Zoe Collins) investigation against a backdrop of Ibiza’s party scene and drug trade catapulted the new series into global success.
Thanks to the stricter lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic back in May, the new crime drama quickly took the top spot for Netflix’s most streamed series.
A new season is expected to be on the way after Laura exposed Anna (Angela Griffin) and Marcus (Daniel Mays) as her brother’s killers.

Axel Collins (Tom Rhys Harries) attempted to betray his criminal partners 20 years ago, who then made several attempts to take him out, including drowning and running him over.
It’s revealed that Anna deals the final blow by stabbing Axel in the back with a screwdriver.
Meanwhile, Marcus sets the stage for a potential season two when he attempts to strike up a new deal with the local crime family, the Calafats.
Although the first season featured plenty of twists and turns, with many more surely on the way, one perceptive fan re-watched the series from the beginning and spotted some revealing moments.
They took to Reddit when they realised a pivotal moment in episode two foreshadowed Anna and Marcus being exposed as Axel’s killers.
Redditor pistolepants posted: “It’s so obvious now how Anna and Marcus are behaving that they killed Axel.
“ESPECIALLY in episode two where Axel’s three main friends are having their conversation.”
As the coronavirus pandemic continued over the last months, many TV fans had no choice but to binge watch the latest offerings from streaming services such as Netflix.

Unfortunately, a second viewing of White Lines revealed Marcus and Anna were behaving incredibly suspiciously in season one’s early episodes.
For those who were paying close attention the first time round, some fans may have worked out the first season’s shocking twist well before Axel’s friends are actually exposed as his murderers.
Additionally, another fan responded with yet another hint foreshadowing the shocking twists of the season finale.
They explained how one key line may have given the whole game away in episode two.
- White Lines plot hole: Major error with Axel Collins’ murder
The viewer replied: “‘I know it sounds like bulls***t but no one remembers anything from that party.’ Should’ve realised at that moment.”
As Zoe investigates her brother’s death, Anna and Marcus are trying suspiciously hard to divert attention away from their involvement in Ibiza’s drug and party scene.
Axel’s murderers managed to get away in the season finale, so Zoe will have to work extra hard to bring Anna and Marcus to justice in season two.
White Lines is available to stream on Netflix.
