Virgin River fans will know how season one of the romantic drama ended with an explosive goodbye for Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson). Now the trailer for season two has finally dropped, viewers will be desperate to know what is in store for them next.

Will Jack and Mel get back together in Virgin River season 2?

The second season of Virgin River will be airing on Netflix on November 27 with 10 new episodes.

Viewers will be extremely excited about this news after the first season ended with heartbreak for its leading characters.

By the end of season one, things were finally looking up for Mel and Jack as they began dating.

In episode nine, they even shared a kiss and there seemed to be plenty of promise in their relationship.

However, the season finale dropped a big revelation which upended this as Mel found out Jack and Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) were expecting a baby.

This led Mel to break up with him before packing up her belongings and heading out of town.

As the show returns with season two, viewers will find out she had taken a break before returning home to Virgin River.

And in the new trailer released by Netflix, there are plenty of hints reconciliation may be on the cards for Mel and Jack.

The clip opened with Mel walking back into Doc’s (Tim Matheson) office only to be confronted with Jack before she said: “Hi Jack.”

However, Jack was upset to see her, adding “I think I’m gonna need a little more than ‘Hi Jack.’”

There’s plenty of tension between the pair throughout the trailer as they deal with the complicated they find themselves in.

This includes Mel having to treat the pregnant Charmaine while grappling with her feelings for Jack.

At one point she told Doc: “There’s no escaping the fact that Charmaine, Jack and I are all going to have to make do with an awkward situation while I finish out my year.”

But as Doc pointed out, it will not be this simple, telling Mel: “In my experience, when you let something simmer for too long, eventually it will boil over.”

While Mel’s feelings are in flux, it is also never in doubt how Jack feels about her.

This included him admitting to her he can’t try to make things work with Charmaine as he isn’t in love with her.

Throughout the trailer, viewers will also be pleased to see plenty of flirting happening between the pair.

As well as this, it seems the whole town is also backing their romance with one local confessing they are “team Mel.”

There’s even an almost kiss between the pair as well as what seems to be a cosy fishing date for the couple.

Jack also confesses to Preacher (Colin Lawrence) how he is in love with Mel and he urges her to move on from the loss of her husband with him.

While there is no confirmation about how this will all play out, it seems like there will be plenty more drama in the second season.

Virgin River season 2 is released on Netflix on November 27.
