Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps won’t return as Sheridan snubs offer

It's not looking good for a Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps revival as star Sheridan Smith still refuses to discuss a could-be reunion.

The finale of the popular sitcom aired nine years ago, and while star Will Mellor, who portrayed Gaz on the show, has admitted he loved to see it back on the small screen, fellow cast member Sheridan isn't keen on the idea.

Will told The Sun the actress, who played Janet on the programme, hasn't spoken to him in three years and declines his calls when he rings.

"Sheridan just won’t talk about it," he began.

"She’s not spoken to me in over three years now. It’s like she just won’t pick up the phone about it. There is just no point in going down that route.

"I don’t know what happened, we last spoke about three, maybe four years ago and since then she won’t reply to my calls or text messages at all."

While the actor is keen for Two Pints to return, he admitted the show can't be given the green light if Sheridan doesn't sign up.

He added: "I wanted to be there but she’s just not interested so there is no point in going there.

"We can’t get a Two Pints reunion together without her."

The show, which ran for nine seasons, revolves around five young friends who live life together, experiencing love, romance, friendship, overcoming difficulties and learning lessons.

The programme, based in Runcorn, Cheshire, featured Ralf Little, Will, Natalie Casey, Sheridan, and Kathryn Drysdale.

Little departed after the sixth series finished airing, with Smith and Drysdale leaving following the airing of the eighth series.

While there isn't going to be a reunion show, Will and fellow friend and co-star Ralph have been working on a Two Pints podcast together – set be released later this year.
