“Everything gets bigger, the stakes get higher, but also the personal story between the Child and the Mandalorian develops in a way I think people will enjoy.”

To add to the excitement, it has also been teased that a spin-off movie will be created after the end of season 2.

Favreau admitted that as time has progressed, it's looking even more likely that it could a film on the big screen could happen.

He told Variety: “The line is blurring now. Things that you would have only seen in the movie theatre, you’re seeing on streaming, and I think it could go the other way as well.”

Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Emily Swallow will be joined by a handful of new cast mates for the new series, including: Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze.
