Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is desperate to make up for lost time in Coronation Street and therefore asks mum Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) to move in with him.
The outcome of Yasmeen Nazir’s (Shelley King) trial remains to be seen, but in the week that follows, Tim is determined to do whatever it takes to see more of Elaine.
With the two having resolved to see one another more often, he invites her to move in with him at No.4 — but such a suggestion leaves Elaine rather startled.
Sally (Sally Dynevor) argues that Tim is rushing things, and suggests that he’s trying to replace Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) in asking Elaine to move in, but the young man remains steadfast in his position, claiming that it’s a good idea.
Elaine is wary of the fact that Tim is trying to make up for lost time all at once, and therefore confides in Alya (Sair Khan) — revealing that she’s afraid to tell him how she feels in case he feels he’s been rejected by her once more.
Alya offers her some advice, and encourages her to be honest.
Elaine does just that, revealing to Tim that she’ll always be there for him, but advises that they take things a bit slower.
How will Tim react?
