Rainie Branning (Tanya Franks) is determined to get her happy ending in EastEnders, and with Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) having proven that he’ll do just about anything for her, she might actually be set to achieve it. However, Max Branning (Jake Wood) — or more appropriately, Max’s funds — become the object of their desire in the coming episodes, as they dream of a big wedding, which will undoubtedly lead to more conflict.
Rainie was determined that she and Stuart should remain as they were, but Stu wasn’t so certain — believing that they could be incredibly happy if she would give them the chance to tie the knot.
After several elaborate proposals, Stuart simply revealed how much Rainie meant to him, and — having realised how much he loves her — she ultimately agreed to be his wife.
There was a slight hitch — uh, so to speak — when she realised that she was still married to Max, but in the end she was able to get him to agree to a divorce, and therefore she and Stuart set about planning their big day.
In the coming episodes, Stu comes to realise that Rainie is hoping for an elaborate wedding, and thus he uses inspiration from the parlour. However, Max soon makes a dig — something which leaves Rainie rather deflated.
However, Stuart soon suggests that Rainie could get half Max’s assets in the divorce, and her interest is piqued.
Later, she’s not so sure that involving a solicitor is the right action to take, so she does some digging of her own.
What will she discover?
Will she succeed in acquiring half of his funds? She may need a large sum of money if she wants an elaborate wedding, and — after the hell Max put her through — perhaps Rainie will be determined to take what she believes she’s owed?
