Spoilers: Nate sacrifices himself to save Belle in Emmerdale

Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) is compelled to save Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) in Emmerdale tonight (October 20), as he prepares to take the rap for the hit-and-run.

Belle has been struggling with the prospect of going to prison for the hit-and-run which left Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) fighting for her life.

However, it appears as if Jamie Tate’s (Alexander Lincoln) latest move has made this something of an inevitability, given that he’s evidently paid someone off to masquerade as a witness.

Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Moria set in motion a plan to sabotage Jamie’s witness, but with Jamie starting to put two and two together, the Dingle clan find themselves back at step one.

In tonight’s episode, Nate is left in shock when he realises the extent of Belle’s history with schizophrenia, and thus he offers to take the rap in an effort to save her from a life behind bars.

Cain is left in admiration of his son, but Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) isn’t too pleased, as she overhears her beau’s suggestion.

Nate heads to the police station, but he struggles to muster up the courage to set foot inside.

Will he take the blame for the hit-and-run?

If so, will he be sent down?
