Simon Cowell is planning to sell his 'haunted' £15million mansion

SIMON Cowell is planning to sell his “haunted” £15million mansion.

The X Factor boss and music mogul bought the 18th century pad in 2018.

A former owner has claimed it is haunted by the gay lover of Roman Emperor Hadrian.

Simon, 61, was granted permission to carry out an extensive revamp of the seven-bed property in South West London.

Plans were approved for a 15-metre outdoor pool, a bar, an extended sunroom and state-of-the-art security.

Work began in February, but last night sources said Simon had done a U-turn and was preparing to put the pad up for sale.

One said: “Simon loved the property when he bought it, and had a list of changes and improvements.

“But he seems to have had a change of heart.

“So while it is not yet on the market, it’s likely to be listed for sale again very soon.”

Previous owner Christopher Levett — a hedge fund billionaire — reckons he accidentally brought in the soul of Hadrian’s lover Antinous in a statue in 2014.

Speaking in 2019, he told of hearing unexplained noises after he took delivery of the figure in a crate.

Mr Levett, 47, later returned the statue to a museum, but said odd happenings continued.
