SIMON Cowell could return with a revamped X Factor this year – as pal Sinitta confirmed he's back to full health after his bike accident.
The music mogul's former girlfriend believes he'll make a triumphant comeback to telly after falling off his electric bike in August.
Sinitta, who appeared on Good Morning Britain dressed today as her musical inspiration Grace Jones as part of Greatest Hits Radio’s Icons Reimagined campaign, said: "I'm not sure if it's going to be this year or next year, but he's working on a revamped X Factor which I'm very excited about."
In 2019, Simon tried to revamp the X Factor with new versions X Factor: Celebrity and X Factor: The Band, but neither mini-series caught on.
The Sun previously told how he was expected to rest X Factor this year, but is working on a different show called All Star Musicals.
However, Simon has regained his health after falling off his electric bike in Los Angeles.
Sinitta revealed: "Well I saw him actually at Christmas, as soon as lockdown lifted I flew out there.
"The first thing I see is this idiot, I call him that, you know, but because he is on a jet ski.
"(I say) you know if you hurt yourself or are hit by a wave? And he was like 'I know darling i'll be fine'"
Simon was on a long road to recovery after he was nearly left paralysed when he fell of his electric bike in August.
He needed six hours of surgery and missed his spinal cord by a centimetre in the horrific accident.
He also shattered his spine in three places on the£16,500 CAB Recon e-bike, that can reach speeds of 60mph.
The Sun revealed Simon's condition was so bad he had been forced to pull out of filming for the Britain’s Got Talent last year.
The music mogul had hoped to return for the series but remained in the US after his accident and lockdown restrictions tightened.
Ashley Banjo stood in for Cowell on the panel.
The Sun revealed earlier Britain’s Got Talent 2021 was cancelled as ITV postponed the show over Covid safety fears.
