Sharon's plan backfires in EastEnders as Jada takes baby Alyssa

Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) will rue the day she listened to Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) advice in EastEnders, as she realised that Jada Lennox (Kelsey Calladine-Smith) had taken baby Alyssa.

The matriarch was determined to look after her grandchild, and some words of warning from Phil led her to go for sole custody of the baby.

Zack Hudson (James Farrar) wasn’t sure that this was the best course of action, informing Sharon that she shouldn’t be ripping a child away from it’s mum.

Sharon, however, was determined to raise Alyssa for Dennis Rickman (Bleu landau), and thus she set about buying Ruby Allen’s (Louisa Lytton) former home.

Jada, meanwhile, popped by to visit Alyssa, but Sharon did all she could to prevent the teen from seeing her baby, and even gave her some money to go out and pamper herself.

But Jada spent all the cash on Alyssa instead of herself, leaving Zack with little choice but to tell her about Sharon’s plan.

Sharon, meanwhile, asked Jada to sign the paper work, and she agreed, but not before getting to see Alyssa. Sharon ultimately let her do so.

Jada, however, left the flat without Sharon noticing! Sharon ultimately realised what had transpired when she discovered the baby monitor wasn’t making any noise.

Zack was riddled with guilt, knowing that his decision to tell Jada about Sharon’s plot proved instrumental in her running away with Alyssa.

Will Sharon get Alyssa back?
