Neighbours star Craig McLachlan admitted sending a video of himself simulating a sex act to one of the women accusing him of indecent assault.
But the actor, 55, insisted today (Thursday) it was part of “lewd jokes” that the pair shared.
Three videos of the Australian entertainer were played in court where Mr McLachlan is fighting charges against him by four women accusing him of serious misconduct.
Footage showed the actor, who played Henry Ramsay in the hit soap, touching his groin area over his shorts.
He reportedly told prosecutor Matt Fisher: "I’m simulating touching myself outside of my shorts.
“[The woman] and I used to engage in lewd jokes.”
Two other videos were also played of Mr McLachlan on or near a toilet with his pants down, making facial expressions.
The actor said he shared these with the same woman as part of a running joke about food.
None of the footage is the subject of the charges McLachlan faces over his alleged conduct to women during a run of the Rocky Horror Show in Australia.
He is charged with seven counts of indecent assault and six of common law assault.
Among them is an allegation he traced his finger around the outline of a co-star’s vagina during a “bed” scene during the theatre show.
McLachlan denied the claims and said the allegation did not match the timing of the production.
He told Melbourne Magistrates’ Court: “Certainly in the moment she nominated, I’m almost two metres away.”
He previously described the accuser as the “most vulgar” person he had ever met.
The hearing is expected to continue on Friday.
