Michelle Keegan tipped for Strictly stint after quitting Our Girl role

Former Coronation Street babe Michelle Keegan could be set to hot step her way onto the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor later this year, according to bookies.

Earlier this year, Michelle confirmed that the upcoming fourth series of BBC military show Our Girl would be her final, as she was quitting her role of Georgie Lane.

And, with that extra spare time, it appears Strictly fans reckon she could be set to make an appearance on the show, like husband Mark Wright did back in 2014.

According to bookmaker Coral, Michelle is set for Strictly with odds of just 3-1.

Not only that, the bookies have given her pretty decent odds of 7-1 to win this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing, which will air in the autumn.

Coral's John Hill said: "Michelle Keegan is very popular and we think she would be a big hit on Strictly where many punters are backing her to appear on the show this year."

Michelle, 32, appeared in Coronation Street as Tina McIntyre between 2008 and 2014, in a total of 861 episodes, before she was killed off.

Since, she took on a role as army medic Georgie in Our Girl in 2016 and joined Sky comedy series Brassic as Erin last year.

Meanwhile, her former TOWIE star husband Mark Wright, 33, quit his "dream job" with US channel E! last year.

The married couple have been splitting their time between the UK and America since Mark landed the telly job back in 2017.

While late Love Island host Caroline won the series, Mark was also beaten by Saturdays babe Frankie Bridge and Blue hunk Simon Webbe.
