Lucifer on Netflix is currently on a delayed hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ahead of season five’s return, fans have been theorising on what could happen during the second half of the season. Here are the top five fan theories of season 5B.

Lucifer has followed Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis), after leaving Hell, he decided to come to Earth and better understand humanity.

The show has been written and created by Tom Kapinos, who is best known for White Famous, Californication and Dawson’s Creek.

Lucifer has quickly gained a dedicated fanbase that has come together on to share their ideas on what could happen next in the show.

Eve will return

Eve (Inbar Lavi) hasn’t been seen since season four of the show.

During the season Eve began a relationship with Maze, (Lesley-Ann Brandt), though Eve decided to leave at the end of the season.

On, a fan suggested: “Eve’s return may be due to god’s arrival or she has found out what to do.”

Maze goes to God

God (Bennis Haysbert) recently returned to the show, changing everything for the characters.

Another fan theorised: “Maze goes to God and asks him for “something huge”

He continued: “I have no doubt she asks for a soul and maybe finds out she had one all along.”

The finale will end with a battle

Each Lucifer season usually ends in a fight, but this latest season could see the biggest one yet.

“Lesley-Ann [Maze] describes this as “one of the most brutal” and “bloodiest and violent” things Maze has done,” the fan explained.

Maze has been gearing up for a fight during the first half of the season, so this would see her character finally get to let loose.

Maze makes a decision

Maze’s fight won’t be her only dramatic moment in the season, with her potentially making her most important decision in the series yet.

The fan explained: “Maze makes a decision for herself at the end with regards to her love life – possibly to do with the whole soul thing.”

There will be a cliffhanger

Season five is already gearing up towards the end of the show, with a cliffhanger for the sixth and final season guaranteed according to the fan on Reddit.

The last episode will end on a cliffhanger – Lesley-Ann says “you don’t know what’s coming”, they said.

Lucifer is available to watch on Netflix in the UK and Fox in the USA.
