KERRY Katona has been left heartbroken after her pet dog Paddy was put down at the vets.
The former Atomic Kitten star's beloved dog was 17 years old and the pooch came to lick her as they enjoyed their final moments together yesterday morning.
Soon after, she took to Instagram to pay tribute to her beloved pet.
The 39-year-old posted this morning: "Heartbroken coming down this morning and your not here waiting for me paddy!!! ❤️❤️❤️"
She also wrote a longer message yesterday about Paddy, which read: "You were so loved and we will forever miss you. You have been the best doggy in the world and loyal to us all… miss you so much paddy.
"You’ve brought me and my children so much joy over the years baby boy!!! Will never be the same!! Love you always❤️❤️"
In a separate post, Kerry uploaded a slideshow of her and her family with Paddy in his final days, which she captioned "Sweet dreams ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."
Overcome with emotion, Kerry told the Labrador on her Instagram story: “Ah Paddy I love you. Paddy never, ever licks, do ya?
“Tonight is Paddy’s last night as he goes to sleep tomorrow. That was a lot of kisses, are you telling me you love me?”
She revealed that Paddy had heart disease, lung disease, arthritis, cancer, doggy dementia, and was incontinent, and the vet recommended that he be put down.
The star revealed the dog initially belonged to her late ex-husband George Kay, who had him from the age of six months.
Kerry was married to George for three years prior to their split in 2015 and he is the father of her daughter Dylan-Jorge.
The former I'm A Celeb winner is also mum to Molly and Lilly-Sue with her ex Brian McFadden and Max and Heidi with Mark Croft.
On July 7, 2019, it was revealed that George had passed away from a suspected drug overdose.
