Jacqueline Jossa teases EastEnders return with major Lauren Branning death hint

EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has sent her fans into meltdown as she has teased a comeback for iconic character Lauren Branning, who left the soap back in 2018.

The EastEnders cast member left the soap after the tragic death of her younger sister Abi Branning, after they both plummeted off the roof of the Queen Vic whilst trying to talk their dad Max down from a suicide attempt.

Jacqueline was on the soap between 2010 and 2018, and it looks like she could be heading back to the soap soon.

The actress has hinted that she is open to reprising the role of Lauren as she spoke to her fans on her Instagram story during a Q&A session.

When asked if she would play Lauren again, she replied: "Maybe one day. She's not dead yet."

A third told her: "Would love to see you back on Albert Square, gal. Hasn't been the same since you've left!"

But with Jacqueline discussing a death for Lauren, could she come back to the soap only to kill off the beloved character?

Lauren faced a number of deadly scenarios during her time on the soap, most notably falling off the pub roof, with Jacqueline filming the scenes while pregnant with her second daughter Mia.

Speculation of her return reached fever pitch when her ex Peter Beale, now played by Dayle Hudson, returned to the soap last month.
