Footballing legend and I'm A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp is about to add EastEnders to his very impressive CV.
West Ham fans will be pleased to see Harry make a guest appearance in Albert Square this summer, coinciding with the European Championships starting in June.
It’s not the first time that Harry has made an appearance on a TV show. The 74-year-old appeared on the 2018 series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, winning the hearts of viewers at home and getting crowned King of the Jungle.
Talking about his upcoming trip to Albert Square, Harry said: “It’s no secret that I’ve wanted to be in EastEnders so I’m over the moon to be making a special cameo this summer.
With a nod to the Euros, it’s a lovely fit and as a proper East Londoner it’s been so much fun. Sandra’s a huge fan, she watches it every day so it’s a real special moment for the whole family!”
Jon Sen, Executive Producer, EastEnders added: “What better way to mark a special summer for football fans by having none other than West Ham legend Harry Redknapp pay a visit to Walford.

He's synonymous with London’s East End and we were delighted to hear he’s a fan of the show too. We can’t wait for audiences to see what brings Harry to Albert Square.”
It hasn't been made clear what role Harry Redknapp will be taking on but if his ‘I’m A Celebrity’ stint is anything to go by then it’s guaranteed to be entertaining.
EastEnders continues on Thursday at 7.35pm on BBC.
