The worried mum-of-three shared several pictures of her two-month-old son lying in his hospital cot as he was treated for the highly contagious disease.
Thankfully, 33-year-old Jessie has now told fans that her baby – who she has not named – is home safe and sound thanks to the care of NHS staff.
She said: "Baby is home now. Thank you for all the well wishes and messages of support.
"Be safe everybody ❤️ amazing care from everybody at Chelsea & Westminster 🏥 #nhsheroes."
Jessie, who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter franchise, told fans about her baby's admission to hospital as the UK was plunged into a third lockdown.
Sharing a picture of the tiny tot as Prime Minister Boris Johnson told Brits to stay home, she warned fans to do exactly that.
Jessie said: "I watched the news about lockdown from an isolated room in hospital. Poor baby is covid positive.
"He’s okay and doing well but they are being vigilant and cautious, thankfully.
"This strain is super powerful and contagious so I do hope that people take extra care in the coming weeks.
"Really didn’t want this to be the start of my family's new year. Really didn’t want to be back in a hospital so soon after his traumatic birth."
She added: "Once again I’m in awe of nurses and doctors. It makes me even more proud of my brother, a&e doctor @pondermed and my father, king GP @davidlloyd73 …. please wish baby a speedy recovery.
"He’s 9llbs 7 now so he’s a stronger and bigger boy than he was when we were last in a hospital room (and the needle went into his hand with louder more powerful screams 😣😣😣😣😣.) Love and best wishes to everyone ❤️#nhsheroes #nhs 🏥 ."
Jessie works as an actress, comedienne and cartoonist.
Since starring as a Gryffindor student in Dumbledore's army, she has appeared in the British sitcom Trollied and E4 drama Glue.
In 2017, she also had a role in Black Mirror episode Hang the DJ.
