Emmerdales Luke hints at prison twist as he makes exit after Victoria split

Emmerdale fans saw Luke Posner (Max Parker) make an exit from the village on Wednesday night, following his split from Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).

He spoke to his mum Wendy (Susan Cookson) as he packed his car, and she wanted to know more about the friend he was moving in with in Manchester, perhaps suggesting he was more than just a friend, following Luke recently using gay dating apps.

However Luke brushed off his mum's prying, suggesting he might end up in prison before long anyway if Vic had anything to do with it.

Victoria learned that Luke had had a fight with her rapist, his brother Lee before her brother Robert hit him, which led to his death.

And Luke told Wendy that it probably would be better if he and Victoria completely cut contact if she went down the legal route.

"Probably get a couple of coppers knocking on my door soon," he said as he got into his car.

Earlier in the episode, Luke broke the news to Victoria that he was moving away following their break-up.

He told her: "I'm staying with a friend until I know what's next – you've got my number if you decide you want to talk."

Vic made it clear she probably wouldn't be reaching out to him, though, as she feels her brother could've escaped prison if the police had known about Luke's fight with Lee from before Robert hit him with a shovel.

She said: "You know this whole act… us… do you know what, I think this entire thing has been a weird guilt trip to what you did to your brother, and I was your punishment.

"I don't care what Ethan said to your mum, but if there's the slightest hint of a chance I could get my brother out of prison…"

Luke stalled the conversation, but she went on: "Will you just go, please Luke, leave me alone."
