Emmerdale resident Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) has had an eventful few weeks playing reluctant handyman to villainous DI Malone (Mark Womack). The shady detective has made enemies out of Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and old nemesis Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and poor old Billy found himself dragged into the middle of things.
Will’s daughter and Billy’s girlfriend Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has no idea of the illegal goings-on that involve her nearest and dearest, but she might be about to find out.
Will a simple slip of the tongue seal her exit with young Lucas?
The whole debacle between the three men and the detective began as Will become increasingly anxious that someone was after him – and hats off to him, he was right.
Fans found out he had been keeping a gun close by for protection, but little Lucas ended up finding the weapon and pointed it at the family while playing.
Shocked and confused, Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) then persuaded Cain to get rid of the gun for her, and that’s when things went from bad to worse for the iconic village bad boy.

When he accidentally shot his estranged son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) at the farm after mistaking him for a rustler, all eyes were on how Nate ended up in the state he was in.
But as he refused to give Cain up in a noble bid to make amends with his dad after his revenge affair with Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb), DI Malone arrived and threatened to lock him away if he didn’t start doing dodgy jobs at his convenience.
And as time went on and Billy got caught up in the trouble, it hasn’t been looking good for the trio.
But in upcoming episodes, Billy will find himself not only having problems with the corrupt cop, but his girlfriend too.
In episodes set to air next week, he will accidentally put his foot in it about the incident with Lucas and the gun.
Dawn is left distraught and can hardly believe it, and soon directs her anger towards Will and Harriet for not telling her.
But now she’s found out about this – how many more secrets will unravel?
Is Dawn set to find out more of what’s been happening to her family?
If so, could this be enough for her to bail out and move away from the village with Lucas?
Elsewhere in the Dales, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is about to start her chemotherapy journey as she prepares for the tough battle against her stage three bowel cancer diagnosis.

Too Hot To Handle’s Francesca ‘didn’t care’ about losing money [INTERVIEW]
Fans will remember the tragic episode where she found out the terrible news, which put her relationship with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to the test.
With the outcome of the storyline yet to be revealed, the actress who plays Vanessa has spoken about her character’s past and there is a chance it might be explored.
Does this mean her mother is going to arrive in the village later this year?
Speaking about this possibility, Michelle Hardwick said: “We don’t know that much about Vanessa’s past. Obviously her dad Frank was part of the show, played by the lovely Michael Praed.
“But we’ve just heard snippets about Vanessa maybe not getting on as well with her mum as she could have done.

“She’s never visited the village,” Michelle remarked in her interview with Digital Spy.
“Vanessa has been to visit her, so obviously they are on speaking terms – but I don’t think she was the lovey-dovey mum she could have been.”
Could viewers be welcoming her mother onto the show anytime soon?
She added: “For me, it would be great to explore that in the future. Especially with what Vanessa’s going through at the moment, who knows? It might happen. It’d be great.”
Emmerdale airs Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
