EAMONN Holmes has hit out at some of his TV colleagues – saying he and Ruth Langsford laugh at them away from the set.
The 61-year-old star, who is a stand-in host on This Morning with his wife, said the business is "made difficult" by certain people working in telly.
Eamonn said some of them didn't understand what they were doing or simply wanted to look good – though he didn't go as far as to name names.
Asked what he and Ruth joke about offscreen in an interview published in OK! the star replied: "Our business.
"It's ridiculous, especially some of the people involved. That often makes us laugh.
"TV is the easiest thing anyone will ever do made difficult by people who either don't understand it or want to seem important."
It was revealed this time last year that Eamonn and Ruth were being replaced on This Morning by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.
The pair had to give up the slot they had fronted since 2006 in a presenter shake-up in January.
They have continued to present the show as holiday cover for the programme's main hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Eamonn is now presenting a new BBC cookery contest called Farm To Feast: Best Menu Wins.
He battled through filming with a leg injury that meant he was on crutches for the whole show – and had treatment after the cameras stopped rolling.
The TV star worried his many fans this summer when he was admitted to hospital to deal with his "crippling pain" and suffered three slipped discs.
