Emmerdale favourite Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) left viewers devastated when he temporarily left the soap at the beginning of the year, in emotional scenes.
But fans can breathe a sigh of relief as he has now returned to filming the role, with him set to appear again towards the end of the month.
‘Fans have definitely missed Aaron on screen but they won’t have long to wait until he’s back in the village where he belongs,’ a source told The Sun.
‘It’s bound to be explosive.’
Aaron has been away working for Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) in Scotland.
We last saw him heading for a much-needed break after an unbelievably tough few months saw him presented with a divorce from beloved husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) – after his beau was locked up for killing Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie).
His life then spiralled even more out of control when heturned to alcohol – leading him into terrifying situations.
Aaron then turned his back on the village in a bid to changehis life around.
But did the time away help?
Speaking about his final scenes as Robert last year, Ryan said: ‘I have been very lucky to be involved in some very ambitious stunts and storylines but that was the stand out one: everyone pulled together, we were up against the odds but I really think we managed to pull it off.
‘The scenes where he was ultimately saying goodbye to Aaron was so well written. It kind of felt the right way to wrap up my journey or my time as Robert. Emmerdale is so important to so many people.
‘I remember as a kid at my nan’s house, they’d be glued toit. Every night – these shows are massive parts of their lives. Sadly theydidn’t ever get to see it as they passed away before I came on but I just neverwanted to let anyone down so just gave it all that I had really.
‘It’s been an emotional journey – and very sad to leave. I’ve learnt so much and feel so much richer for having been here. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me.’
