Dancing On Ice's Hamish Gaman engaged after Caprice Bourret drama

Dancing On Ice’s Hamish Gaman is putting the Caprice Bourret drama behind him for some far more happy news – he’s now engaged to long-time love, Amelia Humfress.

Hamish and artist Amelia have been together for four years, after meeting on Tinder.

Since then, he’s even referred Amelia has his ‘wife’ online, and she has proven to be an important source of support for him over this year’s Dancing On Ice and his feud with Caprice.

Announcing the joyous news on Twitter, Hamish wrote: ‘It’s finally time for some good news. We’re engaged

‘And we’ve now set a date! After so much negativity, it feels so good to talk about something positive.’

Fans were quick to congratulate the professional skater, with one writing: ‘Oh @HamishGaman what wonderful news, congratulations to both of you, I wish you both every happiness for your future together xxxxx’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another posted: ‘Congratulations to you both, such lovely news. Light at the end of the tunnel after the last few weeks, keep moving forward and hope you will both be very happy.’

The pair are now planning to get married this December.

Hamish and Caprice’s fight has become the talking point for the series as a whole, as it was announced without warning by Holly and Phil live on air they had uncoupled.

Rematched with Oscar Peter, Caprice lasted for one week before quitting completely.

Hamish continues to perform in group routines but also had to take some time off as he admitted he ‘wasn’t OK’ with what had gone on between him and Caprice.

He returned at the end of February, posting an emotional snap of his Dancing on Ice Pals thanking them for their support throughout the difficult time.

Dancing On Ice concludes next Sunday from 6pm on ITV.
