The trailer for the upcoming reboot of DIY series Changing Rooms has been released, as interior design extraordinaire Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen returns alongside presenter Anna Richardson.
From 1996 until 2004, Changing Rooms showed viewers across the nation how they could do up their homes with DIY improvements, presented by Carol Smillie from the start until 2003 and then Laurence for the final year.
17 years later, the iconic show is back, with two new designers brought into the mix as it makes its way over to Channel 4.
While Davina McCall had originally been attached to present the show, she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with The Masked Singer.
Joining Laurence and Anna will be designers Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead, who both work at 2LG Studio and will be sure to bring their own unique senses of style to the programme.
Furthermore, Tibby Singh will also become a new part of the team, who works as a carpenter and joiner.
Changing Rooms with Dulux will consist of six episodes, with each instalment featuring two different sets of homeowners from the same neighbourhood who take on the daunting task of renovating a room in each other’s houses.
To add even more pressure to the challenge, they will – of course – be up against the clock.
The homeowners will work with either Laurence or Jordan and Russell to turn their visions into a reality, with each of the designers also leaving their own personal mark on the project.
We can’t wait to be wowed!
In the trailer for the show, the cast of the reboot are introduced in an array of brightly coloured ensembles, providing just a hint at the vivid interior design creations that are to come.
Several fans of the original series expressed their excitement over its return.
‘I am weirdly excited for this,’ one person tweeted.
New designers Jordan and Russell tweeted that they’re ‘so excited’ for viewers’ to all see what we have been doing for the last few months’.
The first episode of the show is due to premiere later this month, with the renovations taking place in Swansea, South Wales.
Changing Rooms launches on Wednesday August 18 at 8pm on Channel 4 and All 4.
