Gary Windass (Mikey North) really goes for it when he has a feud with someone in Coronation Street and he could have yet another death on his hands next week when his revenge against Ali Neeson (James Burrows) goes too far. And the dramatic showdown is set to lead to a big exit.
Elsewhere, evil Geoff Metcalfe’s (Ian Bartholomew) mask continues to slip and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) has him bang to rights but Geoff has Yameen (Shelley King) so much under control that he may well be able to drive her apart from her grand daughter.
In other developments, James Bailey (Nathan Graham) is forced to live a lie while Roy Cropper (David Neilson) stands his ground.

Monday 9 March Part One
Gary asks Sharon to take action against Ali – but she goes too far and he ends up collapsing. Toyah and Dr Gaddas rush to his aid and Toyah reluctantly reveals that he might have overdosed on diazepam. Gary looks on in horror.
At the awards, Aggie collects her prize and delivers a poignant speech. When a reporter approaches, James reveals there are rumours about his sexuality circulating online. James tells Ed and Aggie that Danny has outed him on social media and his career could be over.
Roy hosts a meeting with fellow bat watchers and he introduces Nina but they are horrified by her attire and suspect that she is taking the mick. Craig and Imran set off for a run but don’t get very far before Imran gives up. Ken and Claudia return from a visit to the retirement village and it’s clear Ken has doubts.
Monday 9 March Part Two
Gary tells Sharon that she is to blame if Ali dies. Maria calls for an update from the hospital and an angry Ryan blames her for playing him off against Gary. Toyah admits to Imran that she has been trying to help Ali kick his habit – but has put her career on the line. Later, Ali wakes and swears he didn’t take the diazepam.
Michael confirms that the social media post is down and James confronts Danny, who is apologetic. James is upset he couldn’t come out on his own terms and he then is called to a meeting by his manager and press officer.
Nina presents her homemade bat boxes to the society and Roy is proud but when other members make remarks, Roy stands up to them and stands down from the society along with Brian. Ken reveals that he and Claudia plan to move in a few weeks time and Tracy excitedly plans a home makeover.
Wednesday 11 March Part One
Ali is sure that his drink was spiked by Gary. Convinced that Gary is trying to kill him, he resolves to prove it and Ryan despairs. MMaria climbs into Ali’s car and questions him and Ali locks her in and tells her his suspicions. Ali then starts the car.
When Alya spots the same spelling mistake in the new menus as in the bad reviews, she clicks that he is responsible. Yasmeen reckons it’s time she returns to work but Geoff wants her to cook lunch instead. Alya marches in and reveals the truth about Geoff’s reviews.
Aggie reveals that newspapers are calling for James, he is beside himself. The manager calls round and they promise he has his full support. When Roy claims that the bat group has been cancelled, Nina discovers the truth and thinks Roy is ashamed of her.
Wednesday 11 March Part Two
James lies to his manager about being gay. The press officer advises him to stay silent and James reveals to his family that he has covered it up but Aggie feels he is living a lie. Maria begs Ali to stop the car, Maria hugs Gary tightly and comes clean about what Ali suspects.
Geoff denies being responsible for the reviews and Yasmeen sides with him, much to Alya’s annoyance. Geoff points out to Alya that they can’t work together so suggests she sells her share of the business.
Roy admits to Nina that he was trying to spare her feelings and they head out for the evening. Ken can’t bring himself to let Tracy down.
Friday 13 March Part One
Geoff makes out to Yasmeen that Alya is out to get him and he is going to see a business advisor. Alya dfinds cash withdrawals from the account and Geoff lies to Yasmeen that he has sought advice – they should sell up and move abroad.
Gary convinces Maria that he did nothing to provoke Ali’a attack. Ali confides in Ryan that he can’t stand by and watch Maria with Gary so he is leaving. Audrey worries that Ken doesn’t want to move away as he reflects on his times at Number One.
Imran puts pressure on Toyah to find a job. When Nina clocks Toyah applying for a job, she tells her the place has a terrible reputation. Gemma attends story time with the quads but falls asleep and wakes to find the babies gone.
Friday 13 March Part Two
In the Rovers, Ali explains to Maria that he needs to start afresh. After clearing the air with Toyah, Ali says his goodbyes to Ryan and leaves the street. Peter, Carla, Simon and Tracy help Ken with the things from the house and he takes a last wistful look.
Geoff tells Yasmeen that she deserves a better life and then twists her words to upset her. Alya shares her concerns about Yasmeen and Eileen tells her about her being in the box but Yasmeen denies that it was Geoff’s fault.
Gemma chats to the other mums and realises she needs some help. She leaves a voicemail for Bernie but can’t bring herself to admit she needs help. Toyah admits to Imran that she has pulled out of the application while Ken and Claudia make the move – and are welcomed by fellow resident Charles.
