Celebs embracing their quarantine makeovers and make-unders

Who’s that man? On March 21, “Queer Eye” favorite Jonathan Van Ness shared a selfie that show him sporting a goatee, a far cry from his signature full beard look. At the time, he joked, “Don’t try new lewks during quarantine.” He said he planned to shave because he looked “aghast.” A few days later, he delivered on his promise, posting a facial hair-less pic. He looks unrecognizable. According to JVN, he actually looks like another celebrity. “I look like Weird Al w this no facial hair,” the reality TV star said. “He’s hot.” Like JVN, many of entertainment’s biggest names are quarantining at home amid the coronavirus pandemic and they’re having to get used to their temporary new normal — one without a barber or nail technician. Check out more celebs who are embracing their quarantine looks…

How celebs are homeschooling your kids during coronavirus lockdown, from Joe Wicks’ PE lessons to Myleene Klass on music

SINCE schools closed last Friday for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus outbreak – delighting the nation's kids – parents have been sharing their very relatable accounts of their desperate attempts to homeschool them.

But as a dad tried to teach arithmetic using toilet rolls and a mum let her daughter create a timetable featuring "arse and crafts", the likes of Joe Wicks, Myleene Klass,  Carol Vorderman, David Walliams and Darcey Bussell have come to the rescue.

In self-isolation lockdown, celebrities are doing their bit to educate the children of Brits during this uncertain time by holding virtual classes on staple subjects, including science, maths, english, PE, dance and food tech.

This onslaught of starry goodwill comes as schools shut last week except to the kids of key workers – such as nurses, firefighters and supermarket staff.

With the pandemic estimated to continue until at least June, it could be many months before pupils find themselves back in a classroom.

So, in response, famous faces have been doing their bit to help out parents for whom getting their offspring to do any learning has so far been an uphill battle.

It all started with Joe Wicks, who last week announced he would be keeping youngsters fit via virtual PE lessons – and now other stars are holding lessons in a variety of subjects from their homes.

But who are the other stars taking your little one through the curriculum one red carpet-friendly step at a time? From maths to science, to music and dance, you better add these to today’s timetable…

PE with Mr Wicks

We’re not sure it’s a subject that many would have missed – but it’s certainly an important one for health, and all the more so given the new restrictions announced last night that force us to stay at home as much as possible.

Final reminder ☝️🌍 Tomorrow morning at 9am I’m going LIVE on my YouTube channel with a 30 minute workout class for kids of all ages… teenagers and adults you can get involved too. Have fun and inspire each other. Interact, connect and laugh along with each other 😀❤️ Comment below if you or you’re kids are taking part and let me know what country you are in 🌎☺️

Ensuring children around the country are getting regular exercise in quarantine is Joe Wicks- also known as The Body Coach – who is live streaming virtual PE lessons via his YouTube channel at 9am from Monday to Friday for the foreseeable future.

Yesterday morning, according to The Guardian, one million homes tuned into the 33-year-old Instagram star’s first class – including the offspring of Coleen Rooney, Stacey Solomon and Giovanna Fletcher from their swanky living rooms.

Music with Ms. Klass

She may be known as a pop-star-turned-radio-host, but Myleene Klass is also a talented classical pianist and knows her major from her minor scales.

The singer, 41, has offered to give free music lessons via YouTube for little ones stuck at home – and has invited people to tune into her next “klass” this week on Friday at 10am.

Advertising her services in a Twitter post, she wrote: “PARENTS! How’s home schooling working out for you?!

“If you want me to take over a lesson for you, here’s my gift to you! FREE music lessons which stick to the curriculum and are actually fun!”

Maths with Ms. Vorderman

Who else could the nation trust to get their kids brushing up on their algebra? None other than former Countdown host Carol Vorderman, of course, who is giving children free access to her online maths school until the moment they're back in the classroom.

Announcing the handy resource on Twitter, the presenter, 59, wrote: “My maths school http://themathsfactor.com is usually about £2 a week.

“I want to help so it's now FREE for children age 4-11 until schools open. We're uploading massive server capabilities, pls bear with us. With all my love.”

Food Tech with Mr Oliver and Mr Michaels

There has been no shortage of celebrities wanting to help us cook up delicious dishes with all that stock-piled food shopping. Even better, why not let your kids practice food tech and make dinner at the same time?

For the older ones, Jamie Oliver, 44, is back on screens with Channel 4’s Keep Cooking and Carry On – broadcast every week night at 5.30pm – that promises to show viewers how to make “easy-to-follow, super-flexible recipes” including fresh homemade pasta.

Set your reminders for #KeepCookingCarryOn TONIGHT 5:30pm @channel4!! You told me what you needed and I've listened. Thanks to my brilliant team we're going to bring you easy-to-follow, super-flexible recipes with lots of useful swaps and tips to help you feed yourself and your loved ones in these unique times every night this week.

English with Mr Walliams and Ms. Garner

Mums and dads will be over-the-moon to learn that there are a host of famous faces keen to read your little one a story so you can continue with the boxset guilt-free.

Posting to Twitter, comedian-turned-author David Walliams, 48, has announced he’ll be releasing a new audio story every day for the next 30 days for free.

First up is The Terrible Triplets, which can be accessed via his website – and is, of course, narrated by the star himself.

Joining him are none other than Jennifer Garner, 47, and Amy Adams, 45, who have teamed up in an effort to help keep your kids immersed in fiction.

The actresses have launched the Instagram account @savewithstories where they – and other stars like Ellen DeGeneres and Jamie Lee Curtis – are filmed reading children's stories in an effort to raise money for Save The Children.

Dance with Ms. Bussell and Ms. Buswell

Who says learning has to be all about sitting at your desk? Two pro dancers are on a mission to show your kids how to twirl across the kitchen like they’re on Strictly.

Dame Darcey Bussell, 50, directed her Twitter followers to join a dance class via her DDMIX organisation's Facebook page at 1.30pm every day this week.

Joining the former ballet dancer in getting youngsters – and adults – to find the beat was also Dianne Buswell, 30.

The Aussie pro taught her followers how to do the Charleston yesterday morning with the help of 28-year-old boyfriend Joe Sugg – and posted the tutorial on her YouTube channel.

History with Mr Snow

With unprecedented events going on in the world outside, it could be a welcome distraction to get your kids to discover more about other past momentous moments in history – and how it all turned out alright in the end (sort of…).

TV presenter Dan Snow, 41, directed his followers on Twitter to his History Hit streaming service which allows you to access documentaries on everything from Jack The Ripper to the events of 1066.

It can be accessed for free for 30 days, and the following month for just a quid, as part of special offer. There’s also a free podcast too.

Science with Professor Cox

Don’t forget about physics, which Professor Brian Cox – single-handedly credited with getting the nation more interested in galaxies and gravity- has promised to help with in the coming weeks.

The 52-year-old TV star confirmed he’ll announce on Twitter “as things get organised”.

On Saturday, he took part in a Q&A session where “science students of all ages” were advised to ask questions, and allow him to “do your homework for you”. It's worth staying tuned.

Geography with Mr Backshall

Last but not least, naturalist and wildlife expert Steve Backshall will be giving lessons on his area of expertise, with his first virtual class taking place this week.

The TV star announced the news on Twitter in a post which read: “9:30am (GMT) Weds 25th March I’ll be live on Facebook, Instagram AND YouTube.

“From habitats to holotypes, parasites to pademelons, I’ll do my best to bring the wild world into your living room, from… my living room!”

It all sounds a lot more fun than when we were at school…

In other celebrity news, we told you about the mini-me daughters following in their famous mothers' footsteps.

We also revealed Kate Middleton's three rules that helped her find her feet as a mum.

And Stacey Solomon has admitted she isn't shaving during the lockdown.

Celebs Go Dating’s Joshua Ritchie vomits into a toilet after leaving romantic date to be sick – The Sun

CELEBS Go Dating star Joshua Ritchie throws up in tonight's stomach-churning episode – during a date.

A teaser for Monday's show sees Charlotte Crosby's ex heaving into a toilet bowl.

Although it's not clear why the reality star, 25, is throwing up into a toilet, it could be because he'd had a bit too much to drink celebrating his final week at the dating agency.

After a solid month of dating people from outside the celebrity circle, Josh and the rest of the cast are about to jet off to the Dominican Republic with their chosen beaus for one final date.

The Bolton lad's time on the show this year was completely different to last year when he appeared on the seventh series with then girlfriend Charlotte Crosby, 30.

The pair decided to join the agency's books to help improve certain aspects of their relationship – and thought that love guru's Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson's advice would be best.

Despite trying their hardest to try and fix their relationship, the couples therapy just didn't do the trick as they called time on their relationship a few months after appearing on the show.

The Geordie lass announced the shocking news on Instagram and wrote: "Me and Josh have decided to part ways. Sadly the relationship seems to have broken drown.

"Hoping we can still remain civil and wish him the best for the future.”

Just three weeks later the Love Island star signed up to dating show again – but this time as a single man.

Charlotte soon found out about the news and branded Josh a "f***ing toe rag", whilst accusing him of using her to get on the show.

The self-confessed ladies man has been on a range of dates since starting the show alongside Alison Hammond, Amy Hart, James Lock, Dean Gaffney, Amy Childs, Olivia Bentley and Malique Thompson-Dwyer – and he certainly hasn't been on his best behaviour.

Last week he was left mortified after he was caught lying about going to a strip club after his date.

His glamorous date revealed that she saw him partying on his Instagram story, despite him insisting that he hadn't gone out.

Justifying his choice to go to the strip club, he said: "And then all the lads said let's go out after it, so I was like 'alright then'."

Admitting the game was up in a one on one with the camera, he says: "Olivia has totally busted me, but I've come up with a cunning plan and it's time to stitch up Mr James Lock."

Pinning all the blame on Lockie, he said: "I only go to them when I'm here and that's cos I'm with Lockie. He's a bad influence that man, you know."

Celebs Go Dating’s Malique Thompson-Dwyer can’t understand his Welsh date say chicken nuggets in hilarious clip – The Sun

CELEBS Go Dating's Malique Thompson-Dwyer is left stumped by his Welsh date's accent in tonight's show.

The Hollyoaks star is unable to understand his date's pronunciation of chicken nuggets, forcing him to try and lip read before giving up all together.

His date asks: "What's your favourite food? Do you like chips, cheese and gravy and stuff like that?"

He replies: "That sounds disgusting, I'm not going to lie."

Undeterred, she continues: "And chicken nuggets on top."

But it all goes wrong at this point, with Malique eventually telling her he doesn't know what they are.

When the penny finally drops, an embarrassed Malique puts his head in his hands.

Malique left viewers cringing last week with his very awkward flirting.

The star, 22, used the same chat up on line on two different women while they were within earshot of each other, much to viewers' horror.

He had already admitted he had a foot fetish to dating coaches Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson and wasted no time letting a woman called Jakeeme know in the mixer.

"I know who you are," he told her. "You're the one with the nice feet.

"I just want to kiss you, that's all I want to do."

Before she had time to respond, another woman, Danica, moved in for a chat with Malique.

It prompted the actor to say: "I'm not even going to lie, Danica, I searched you up on Instagram."

And he tried the kiss line again, this time with a stunned Jakeeme watching on.

He said: "I just want to kiss you right now. Can I? Can I get a little kiss?"

It proved too much for Jakeeme, who cut her losses and walked away.

The show's official Twitter account was just as shocked, writing: "WE CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT WE'RE SEEING! @officialmal is using the same pickup line a whole 0.3 seconds after using it before."

Viewers found it difficult to watch, with one writing: "He's coming across as predatory! Uncomfortable viewing."

Another posted: "Good grief he is a predator and he wants a woman to take place of his mum Neutral face."

As a third said: "I felt uncomfortable watching him tonight Grimacing face#CelebsGoDating."

He was forced to apologise after getting drunk on the show and acting like a “predator”.

Speaking at the launch of the new series after watching back his antics, he said: "Can I just say I was very drunk … I'm not drunk now, I do love feet. I'm not going to lie."

He went on to say he felt like a “predator” during his first mixer as he honed in on the women he fancied.

While he was "nervous" about appearing on the show, he admitted the drink "helped me out a lot" during the first episode.

Malique and his co-stars, Amy Childs, Amy Hart, James Lock, Dean Gaffney, and Olivia Bentley had to speak to a room of strangers and ask two out on dates during the first mixer.

Malique said: "I was quite nervous coming onto the show.

"But I enjoyed myself a little bit too much.

"I'm getting to the age now where I'm kind of taking over everything myself.

"It would be lovely to come home and have a lovely lady cook me dinner and that. What can I say?

"I think the drink helped me out a lot. I think if I was sober I would've handled it a lot different. But I was in the mood.

"I remember speaking to Lockie before and saying how nervous I am.

"But as soon as I went down I was like, 'Oh my God. I'm a predator! Let's go'."

Despite starring as Prince McQueen on Hollyoaks for three years and appearing in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Malique found it "strange" having so many cameras around on Celebs Go Dating.

He said: "I'd like to say I'm used to having cameras around me but coming on the show and to the agency I actually realised that I'm not.

"It's strange having loads of cameras in my face."

Celebs Go Dating's Rob Beckett spots 'penis' in background of Amy Childs' scene

Celebs Go Dating narrator Rob Beckett doesn’t miss a trick and, on Friday night’s show, he spotted something rather rude when Amy Childs was on her way to her date.

The 29-year-old is currently looking for love on the E4 show and was set up with Otto by dating coaches Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson.

The former reality star was sat in the back of the cab, as she innocently considered that maybe she should ask more questions during her dates.

However, the hilarious comedian couldn’t help but draw attention to something else.

As the car went past a street lamp, there it was lit up on the windowpane, yep a penis.

Rob asked: ‘I’ve got a question – is that a c**k and balls on the window?’

It appeared that a previous passenger decided to leave the creative sketch on the glass. Or it could have been Amy – you never know!

Fans took to social media to praise how hilarious Rob is. Because let’s face it, he is.

One tweeted: ‘Could Rob Beckett get any more funnier?’

Another commented: ‘Also Rob Beckett makes this whole show,’ while one more added: ‘Rob Beckett makes my life.’

Elsewhere on the show, Made In Chelsea star Olivia Bentley didn’t have a great first date, with the episode showing her storming out of the restaurant.

It all kicked off when her potential flame was late, and then things went from bad to worse after Otto shared a few too many details about a previous fling.

Poor Liv ended the day by telling him: ‘[You’re] a disgrace. You’re a liberty.’

Celebs Go Dating continues on weekdays at 9pm on E4.
