Baby No. 2? Jessica Chastain, Her Husband Step Out With New Child

Family of four? Jessica Chastain and her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, may have welcomed a second child together.

In video footage posted by Page Six on Thursday, March 26, the 43-year-old Zero Dark Thirty actress stepped out with Passi de Preposulo, 37, in Santa Monica, California, on Wednesday, March 25. The Oscar nominee’s spouse pushed their 23-month-old daughter, Giulietta, in a stroller. Meanwhile, Chastain was spotted walking with another child in a carrier on her chest.

Us Weekly confirmed in November 2018 that Chastain and Passi de Preposulo secretly welcomed daughter Giulietta together. E! News reported that the child arrived by surrogate on April 4, 2018.

The month before, the Help actress sparked baby speculation when she was seen pushing a baby stroller to set. In the days that followed, Chastain was spotted with Passi de Preposulo as he brought a baby car seat into a hotel.

The Dark Phoenix star began dating Passi de Preposulo in 2012. The couple said “I do” in June 2017 at an estate in Treviso, Italy, that belongs to the fashion executive’s family. Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt were among those in attendance.

While the couple made it to the altar, getting married wasn’t always part of Chastain’s plan. In 2018, she revealed to WSJ. Magazine why she “never” wanted to take that step and what led her to her have a change of heart.

“He knew that marriage wasn’t something I was interested in. And then as we got to know each other, the idea of marriage shifted for me,” she explained. “There are some things worth celebrating — and he’s worth celebrating.”

The Miss Sloane actress continued, “I actually love being married. I never thought I would, but this is a spectacular human being, and I am celebrating that I get to share my life with him.”

Though Chastain has made it to the A-list, she has admitted that she doesn’t love all the attention that comes with being a celebrity. “I don’t have a lifestyle website. I’m not interested in the fame of being a personality,” she explained to InStyle in its January 2015 cover story. “Some people are, and they love it, and that’s great for them.”

Coronavirus ‘could kill 2,300 each DAY totaling 80,000 in US in next four months’ – The Sun

CORONAVIRUS could kill 2,300 Americans every day which could lead to 80,000 deaths in the next four months, experts say.

The damning forecast was published on Thursday when the US death toll topped 1,000 and officials warned it could be worse here than hard-hit Italy.

Researchers at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington's School of Medicine analyzed the latest COVID-19 data at a local, national and international level.

They found the demand for beds and equipment may not be able to meet the demand of COVID-19 cases by the second week of April, reports

They estimate around 81,000 Americans will die from the virus in the months to come – but predictions ranged from 38,000 to over 160,000.

According to IHME's model, as many as 2,300 people could die daily when the disease peaks, despite the social distancing efforts.

IHME experts looked at hospitalization rates, mortality rates, as well as patients' age, gender, underlying conditions.

They conducted in-depth research on the time lag between the initial fatalities and officials ramping up the mitigation measures, like closing schools and shuttering businesses.

After looking at the US' ICU bed and ventilator capacity, they crunched the numbers.

The news emerged after the country's top public health official, Surgeon General Jerome Adams, said "we could be worse than Italy if we don't participate in these 15 days to stop the spread."

Likewise, the institute's director, Christopher Murray, said their trajectory was based on "uninterrupted vigilance by the general public, hospital workers, and government agencies."

"The trajectory of the pandemic will change – and dramatically for the worse – if people ease up on social distancing or relax with other precautions," Murray said.

"We hope these forecasts will help leaders of medical systems figure out innovative ways to deliver high-quality care to those who will need their services in the coming weeks."

Twenty-one states will need more ICU beds than are available now, IHME said – but 12 may be forced to up their capacity by 50 percent.

Hard-hit areas in New York may peak in just two weeks according to Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has repeatedly appealed for more ventilators.

The disturbing news comes as ten states are declared "disaster" areas, meaning half the US population are living in disaster zones as of Thursday, March 26.

Dixons Carphone will axe 2,900 jobs

Dixons Carphone will axe 2,900 jobs under plans to close all 531 of its Carphone Warehouse stores across the UK

  • Group said shops will shut on April 3 amid a major shift to selling mobiles online
  • It expects to make 2,900 redundancies, but said 40% of staff will take new roles
  • Bosses today confirmed decision was not related to the coronavirus outbreak

Nearly 3,000 jobs are being axed at Dixons Carphone after the retailer today announced plans to shut all 531 of its standalone Carphone Warehouse mobile phone stores in the UK.

The group said the shops – which make up around 8% of the entire group’s selling space – will shut on April 3 as it plans to sell mobile phones solely in its 305 combined Currys PC World stores and online across the UK.

It expects to make 2,900 redundancies, but said almost 1,800 affected staff are set to take new roles elsewhere in the business, as bosses confirmed the decision was not related to the coronavirus outbreak.

The group’s 70 Carphone Warehouse stores in Ireland will remain open and its international operations are unaffected.

Dixons Carphone said the move is ‘essential’ to help turn around its UK mobile arm, which is set to make a £90 million loss this year.

Carphone Warehouse group chief executive Alex Baldock said: ‘There’s never an easy time for an announcement like this, but the turbulent times ahead only underline the importance of acting now.’

He added: ‘We’re working hard to look after those colleagues we can’t find new roles for, financially and otherwise.

‘We’ll pay enhanced redundancy, any bonuses, honour their share awards, and help them find new jobs through an outplacement programme.’

Liverpool 2 Bournemouth 1: Salah and Mane cancel out Wilson’s shock opener as Reds ends losing run – The Sun

LIVERPOOL returned to winning ways after coming from behind to beat Bournemouth at Anfield, extending their gap at the top of the Premier League to 25 points.

Callum Wilson gave the visitors a shock early lead, tapping in Jefferson Lerma's cross.

There was debate about whether VAR should have given a foul on Joe Gomez in the build-up but the video assistants decided there was not enough contact to warrant a free-kick.

Jurgen Klopp was unimpressed with the decision as he felt Gomez was pushed in the back.

It wasn't long before Liverpool were back on level terms, Mohammed Salah finishing into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.

Salah's 16th league goal of the season was soon followed up by Sadio Mane giving the league leaders the advantage.

Paedo raped girl, 2, leaving her with STD and needing blood transfusion – The Sun

A MAN raped a two-year-old girl which resulted in her getting an STD and needing a blood transfusion due to the severity of the injuries.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been jailed for 13 years after pleading guilty to sexual intercourse without consent at Alice Springs Supreme Court, Australia, on Friday.

The convicted rapist infected the little girl with gonorrhea after attacking her on February 15, 2018.

As a result of the traumatic incident, the child suffered severe psychological damage.

Following the assault, she was treated for severe internal injuries including bruising, cuts, bleeding and swelling.

She had received stitches to treat the numerous lacerations on her body.

According to court hearings, the rapist entered the girl's home between 10pm and midnight where she was sleeping with her mother and brother in the living room.

“Crimes of this nature against children are abhorrent,” Justice Kelly said in court.

“They inspire disgust and loathing.

“Now, I don’t know how much planning was involved but the crime was not opportunistic; it is not as though you were living in that house and suddenly succumbed to temptation.”

The rapist had initially denied being responsible to police and gave a false alibi before his DNA linked him to the crime.

He later blamed his difficult upbringing for his actions when speaking to a psychiatrist.

The rapist had been raised by an aunt and abandoned by his parents but he was not found to have any psychotic illness or cognitive impairment that would explain his actions, the court heard.

A victim impact statement from the girl’s father stated that while his family was strong, “I can’t express my sadness, I have no words."

The father also expressed how hard the incident was on the little girl's mother.

Children’s Commissioner Colleen Gwynne wrote a scathing report about Northern Territory child protection services, who had dealt with the family for a number of years.

She wrote: "They should have known the girl was at “foreseeable risk of harm and that risk could have been managed or mitigated."

Couple accidentally ordered 2,000 toilet rolls and makes them into throne as virus panic buying hits Australia – The Sun

A COUPLE who accidentally bought too much toilet roll have built a throne with their spoils, calling themselves ‘royalty’ as coronavirus panic buying hits.

Chris Janetzki, 35, and Haidee Janetzki, 33, accidentally spent $3,260 (around £1,600) on 2,306 rolls last month – and now they are glad they did.

Haidee has been crowned the 'Queen of toilet paper' after accidentally ordering 48 boxes instead of 48 rolls to their home at Toowomba in Queensland's Darling Downs.

At the time, they were laughed at by friends but now they couldn't be more pleased.

Speaking during a live stream on Facebook, Chris said: "The jokes on you Australia. While you were all out there scrambling for toilet paper all through the supermarkets- knifing each other getting into fights and carrying on.

'TOILET PAPER QUEEN'

"We are flying high. We are sitting pretty, we are loaded with toilet paper. In fact we think we are royalty now, check out our throne for our toilet paper Queen."

It is estimated that the supply could last them 12 years, but the family are using the demand for product to raise funds for their daughter's school.

Haidee said: “We were shocked of course, but it was such a ridiculous product to have so much of. It’s a 12-year supply at our current rate of usage.

“The wall came out of a need to make the boxes take up as little space as possible so we could fit the car back in the garage.

“The throne was because in the current toilet paper shortage we have a mountain of it as if we’re royalty.

“People can’t believe we did such a stupid thing. People can’t believe we didn’t notice the credit card charge, now that there’s a shortage people can’t believe it was a genuine mistake.

“The company offered to take them back and refund us but we had already started to sell it.”

It comes as people around the world stockpile toilet rolls and other essentials.

Supermarkets warned today they wouldn't be able to cope with deliveries for people self-isolating against the coronavirus.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that the government was working closely with retailers so those self-isolating could get essential supplies.

Coronavirus – 2,000 passengers quarantined on ANOTHER cruise ship off Greece after tourist catches killer bug – The Sun

A CRUISE ship has been quarantined off the coast of Greece after a previous tourist on the ship tested positive for coronavirus.

All 2,000 passengers have been told to remain on the MSC Opera after being urgently called back from excursions which they were told was due to a "security problem".

⚠️ Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest news & updates

The tourist, believed to be Austrian, travelled on board the cruiseliner last week before departing in Italy.

But it wasn't until after he disembarked and began showing symptoms, that he tested positive for the deadly bug.

A letter to passengers from Captain Pietro Esposito read: "I have just learned – and I wanted you to know straight away – that we have been contacted by the Austrian Health Authorities who have informed us that a previous passenger who sailed with us last week on MSC Opera, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

"The male passenger, of Austrian nationality, disembarked from MSC Opera in Genoa, Italy, on Friday morning 28 February, and is currently back in Austria.

''To be clear: this person is not on board."

The captain added: "All passengers and crew are requested to remain on board until we have further clarity on the matter."

''Please note there is no reason for concern. We have no indication that suggests there may be an issue currently on board MSC Opera and there are no cases that suggest there may be a case of COVID-19.''

Are you onboard or know someone who is? Please phone +44 (0) 20 7782 4368 or email [email protected]

Passenger Mike Knotts and his wife Charysse told the Daily Mirror that they were suddenly called back to the boat while visiting the Acropolis in Athens.

Mike said: ''We were told that there was a security problem and we had to return to the ship.

''When we got back the captain made an announcement and we were given letters.

''There was lots of drama at the front desk with one man yelling.

"We're now on our way to Corfu but we don't even now if we will be able to get off the ship.''

The couple, from Texas, added: ''My wife's company said we would have to self-isolate on our return because we were going through Italy, so we're not very concerned.

''They have been very strict about hygiene and washing hands.

''We've been on lots of cruises and things happen and you just carry on.''

CORONAVIRUS CRUISE PANIC

The news comes after a number of cruise ships have been quarantined due to coronavirus fears in the past two months.

The Diamond Princess was put on lockdown just off the port of Yokohama last month, and there have now been more than 700 confirmed cases of coronavirus stemming from the ship.

Just last week, a British man in his 80s died after contracting coronavirus on board the ship.

The British man did not live in the UK and was travelling with his female partner. They were among 78 Brits quarantined on the luxury liner off Yokohama.

The 3,600 passengers and crew aboard the World Dream ship were also quarantined in Hong Kong last month amid fears staff could have contracted the virus on a previous voyage.

They were allowed to disembark after four days after tests for the virus returned negative.

Thousands of passengers were also 'marooned' last month on the MSC Meraviglia after it was refused permission to dock for three days on its tour of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

And passengers on the MS Westerdam were stranded for two weeks before being allowed to dock in Sihanoukiville, Cambodia after 20 people on board suspected of having the deadly coronavirus tested negative.

Watch 2 U.S. Marines Take on the Navy SEALs Physical Fitness Test

How do U.S. Marines stack up when it comes to conquering the Navy SEALs fitness test?

Armando Nava Jr. (a.k.a NavaTheBeast) served in the U.S. Marines for four years before taking to YouTube to vlog about life after the military. While he’s not training with SWAT teams and teaching powerlifters how to crush the brutal Marine Corps. physical fitness test, Nava can be found demonstrating the extensive lessons he learned from the Marines while putting his body through hell. In a recent video, Nava brought his friend and fellow veteran, Marcus Perez in front of the camera to see if they could both take on the famously grueling U.S. Navy SEALs Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

Nava’s version of the test wasn’t exactly what you’d have to take on if you were trying to be a SEAL yourself—the standard test calls for a 500 yard swim in 12 minutes, 30 seconds, 50 pushups in 2 minutes, at least 50 curlups (situps) in 2 minutes, at least 10 pullups in 2 minutes, and a 1.5 mile run in at least 10 minutes and 30 seconds. Nava and Perez flip the order and do the run first, then skip the curlups entirely. Since they’re not planning to enlist, we’ll cut them some slack.

The first portion of the test is a 1.5 mile run, which Nava knocks out in 10 minutes and eight seconds—about 6:39 per mile. Perez’ time is considerably slower but finishes in just under 17 minutes.

“I haven’t run in a minute,” says an out of breath Nava, but this is a good start.” With Marcus running in the background, Nava reminds his audience to use his video for inspiration as what he’s doing is “easy to watch, but hard to do.”

Next up: pushups. Navy SEALs need to do at least 98 reps to qualify for the “Optimum” distinction; Nava and Perez are aiming for 100. The guys hammer away at the 100-pushup goal, sweating through the pain as Nava narrates.

“The only way you’re gonna get better is by putting yourself through that pain and that suffering, because that’s what’s going to mold you and that’s what’s going to make you a stronger individual.”

Seventy pushups in, Nava is unable to continue and taps out of the challenge, while Marcus just makes it to 100. As the guys rise from the floor, physically shaking, they head inside to handle the next portion of the fitness test: pullups.

Nava and Marcus only have to make it to 15 to meet the Optimum requirement, but they aim for 20. After each hitting the target reps, Marcus and Nava head out to conquer the very last challenge: a 500-meter swim.

“We pushing through this pain,” says Nava as he prepares to swim 10 laps, “and so should you. Let’s go finish this test.”

The guys absolutely go beast-mode during the final swim, clocking in at eight minutes and five seconds.

“I’m sore and hungry,” says Marcus, “I’m just glad I attempted it.”

As the video wraps, Nava once again tells viewers to not only watch his videos but go out and actually do what he’s doing yourself. After a 1.5 mile run, pushups, pullups, and a swim, Nava showcases the physical toll the body goes through to make the cut for the elite branches of the military.

Venom 2 Image Shows Festive Look For Woody Harrelson's Carnage

The sequel to 2018’s hugely successful Spider-Man spin-off Venom is currently in production, ahead of its October release. The movie stars Tom Hardy as reporter Eddie Brock, who is host to the titular alien symbiote, Venom. Woody Harrelson will play the character of Cletus Kasady, who has been possessed by the equally dangerous Carnage. The first image of Harrelson from the Venom 2 set has been posted by Hardy.

Fans of Venom will remember that Harrelson actually appeared as Kasady in that movie’s post-credit sequence, where he was sitting behind bars. Based on the new image, it seems that he’s out of jail in Venom 2 and has undergone a makeover.

More specifically, the terrible wig that Harrelson was wearing has thankfully gone, and he’s now wearing a very colourful shirt. Check Hardy’s Instagram post out below. [UPDATE: Hardy has now removed the post, but you can still see the image in the tweet below.]

Venom 2 is directed by Andy Serkis, who takes over from the first movie’s Ruben Fleischer, and also stars Michelle Williams, Stephen Graham, and Reid Scott. In October, it was reported that Bond star Naomie Harris was in talks to join the cast as the villainous Shriek, but this is yet to be confirmed. The film hits theaters on October 2.
