Those who go under the knife for plastic surgery are often looking to tuck or lift certain aspects of their natural physique.
But some beauty-seekers are taking things to the next level leaving them unrecognisable from their pre-surgery selves.
For them they are pushing plastic to make themselves fantastic with many under going multiple surgeries seeking Barbie-like appearances.
Whether it's bigger boobs or a tucked tummy, Brazilian butt lift or Botox, we take a look at some of the world's most extreme transformations.
Glamour model Allegra said her new boobs took her from 'drab to fab' after she went under the knife.
Sharing two images both in bikinis she showed how surgery has boosted her boobs to 54 inches using 4,600 CC implants.
The former piano teacher's first image was taken 20 years earlier before surgery and showed her toned and tanned physique but notably smaller assets.
In total she spent a staggering $75,000 (around £57,700) on surgery, undergoing a tummy tuck, Brazilian butt lift, lip fillers and Botox.
Earlier this year, she said: “These boobs took me from drab to fab! And I’m grateful for every moment of my journey. (The ups and the downs)."
German model Martina first started going under the knife when she became obsessed with looking like Barbie.
Since then she's had multiple surgeries and currently holds the crown for the “largest boobs in Europe” after boosting her breasts to 32T.
The 32-year-old model, from Germany, was a 32DD before any surgery but now says she can't even fit her nipples in her old bras.
And due to her surgery Martina is having to make allowances to her lifestyle which come with having a bigger bust and the affects it has on her health.
She now needs a belt extender to strap herself in while driving and has to sleep on her back or use lots of pillows to prop her body up if she lies on her front.
Real life Barbie with 'world's biggest lips' plans to make them even bigger
She has no choice but to "train her back regularly" to avoid back pain.
Despite these issues, it’s unlikely Martina will stop going under the knife any time soon.
Martina has also had her legs, hips, and waist narrowed during surgery in 2012.
It's not just about the boobs that Barbie wannabe Nannette is looking to surgically enhance.
The 46-year-old mum from Kentucky, wants a designer vagina after already splashing out on surgery to take her to an H-Cup with 700 cc silicone implants.
She looks unrecognizable compared to an image of her before surgery with long brunette locks, tanned tones and lusciously red lips.
Nannette is now planning on going under the knife again and has booked an appointment with the "vagina whisperer" for a labiaplasty
The operation involves reducing the size of the labia minora and can experience discomfort, swelling and bruising for weeks after.
But Nannette isn't worried about her latest procedure and figures it will all be worth it.
Speaking about the operation which costs up to £3,000 she said: "What woman wouldn’t want a Ms. Barbie designer vagina? The fountain of youth begins with a youthful vagina!"
She has also had her upper eyelids done, Botox in her forehead, cheek filler, chin filler, and lip implant.
Ukrainian model Anastasia looks completely different in throwback pictures.
She used to be a fresh-faced teenager before enhancements.
But now, she's undergone treatment to have the world's biggest cheeks.
Sharing before pictures online, she wrote: “Do you recognise the woman? Me at 18 years old.
“Anyone want to say what looks better? Natural ‘beauty’ is beautiful too.”
The post, which shows Anastasia before she spent £1,500 on fillers to enhance her cheekbones.
And unsurprisingly, fans were stunned at how much the influencer has transformed herself.
Previously, she revealed: “After I had the injections and saw the changes in my cheeks, I fell in love with them…
“I understand that they look weird for other people but I don’t mind.”
Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff
French TV stars and twin brothers Igor and Grichka were at the height of their fame in the 1970s with their boyish good looks.
But the pair appear to have both had various enhancements significantly altering their appearance such as chin and cheek implants, and aesthetic Botox and fillers.
Their transformation since has grown attention with them being dubbed "freakish" and even "cat people" by the media.
And some of their fans believe the pair are suffering from a condition acromegaly which makes bones of the skull and extremities increase in size.
