Once known for being one of the most well-known and glamorous lingerie brands in the world, Victoria's Secret's formula has grown tired in recent years.

The brand's annual catwalk extravaganza once saw supermodels prep months in advance for the chance to walk in the show as stars such as Rihanna and Harry Styles performed.

But, the brand is making a comeback with the launch of The VS Collective which see’s a range of ‘diverse’ ambassadors represent them – sorry Kendall and Gigi.

Amongst the amazing line-up you’ll see people such as actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas and professional soccer player Megan Rapinoe join the likes of body activist Paloma Elsesser to appear in a new podcast series.

In a step forward in representing more diverse and inclusive communities, the ladies will share their experiences and perspectives of being a member of The VS Collective.

Other members include Adut Akech a Refugee, Mental Wellness Supporter and model, World Champion Free Skier Eileen Gu, LGBTQIA+ Activist, Actor, Model Valentina Sampaio and finally journalist and photographer Amanda de Cadenet who will be heading up the podcast.

Ahead of the very last Victoria’s Secret catwalk show in 2018, the brand started to receive negative press due to its lack of representation and body inclusivity.

Chief Executive Officer for the brand said “At Victoria’s Secret, we are on an incredible journey to become the world’s leading advocate for women,”

“This is a dramatic shift for our brand, and it’s a shift that we embrace from our core. These new initiatives are just the beginning. We are energized and humbled by the work ahead of us.”

As well as the podcast, Victoria’s Secret will also launch The VS Global Fund for Women’s Cancers with longstanding partners, Pelotonia and Stella McCartney to raise awareness and funds for important charities around the world.

We won't be seeing these ladies strut their stuff on the catwalk but we’re happy to see the brand improving their ethos and championing more realistic and aspirational goals for women to strive for.
