“Vanderpump Rules” is set to resume filming next month after a year-long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, Variety confirmed on Tuesday.
A source told Page Six that “they plan to shoot” around the first week of May.
Lisa Vanderpump — the owner of SUR, the West Hollywood restaurant where all of the reality stars either work at or have worked at — will return alongside Tom Schwartz and his wife Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Maddix, Scheana Shay, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, and Raquel Leviss.
New cast members may also be added to the mix to round out the absence of the seven stars who have left the show since Season 8 wrapped.
Max Boyens, Brett Caprioni, Kristen Doute and new mom Stassi Schroeder were fired from the show in June because of their past racist behavior.
New parents Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright announced in December that they were also departing from the series. Season 8 newbie Dayna Kathan confirmed that she would not be returning to the series earlier this month.
Fans have not seen the “Vanderpump Rules” crew on-screen since they taped their reunion show — which aired in June 2020 — virtually.
“Vanderpump Rules” typically shoots in the summer but was not able to film in 2020 because SUR was still closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Page Six caught up with Madix and Sandoval last month and they revealed that they were “kind of just waiting and seeing” when production would be able to resume safely..
