Another three people in the UK have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.
Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty said two of the patients had recently returned from Italy and the other one from Asia.
The patients are from Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire.
Prof Whitty said: "All three are being investigated and contact tracing has begun."
As of 9am this morning 10,483 people had been checked for the disease in the UK.
According to the Department of Health, coronavirus presents with flu-like symptoms including a fever, a cough, or difficulty breathing.
The current evidence is that most cases appear to be mild.
Those who have died in Wuhan, where the outbreak began, appear to have had pre-existing health conditions.
There are coronavirus fears at a Liverpool hotel after a man has reportedly self-quarantined himself in his room.
The male guest is thought to have recently returned from a trip to Thailand, according to the Liverpool Echo .
He has been staying at the Radisson Blu hotel on Old Hall Street in Liverpool's city centre for the last three days before he allegedly began presenting with recognised coronavirus symptoms yesterday, February 28.
According to a man who wants to remain anonymous, the guest has called 111 and is currently waiting for a health professional to be sent out to assess him.
They told the Echo: "A man has decided to self-quarantine himself in his room after he started showing symptoms of coronavirus.
"He's recently returned from Thailand and has now decided to stay inside his room.
"He has called 111 and is waiting for someone from the NHS to come out and see him to confirm it.
"But he's been staying in the hotel for the last three days and has used the restaurant and the bar and other facilities.
"There are hundreds of people staying in the hotel so it could have already spread in that time.
