The Voice’s Emma Willis will never stop son Ace from wearing a pink crop-top

Emma Willis said she will never stop her son Ace from wearing a pink crop-top after she spoke out against those who have criticised his dress sense.

The 44-year-old The Voice presenter said she wants her little ones to express themselves however they want to.

Speaking to The Sun, Emma talked about the idea of raising children as gender-neutral as she said "let kids explore".

She told the publication: "I think it's a really individual, personal thing. You know, my son likes what he likes, and far be it for me to stop him expressing himself or experimenting however he likes with clothes.

"I see it as hair is hair, clothes are clothes and colour is colour. And, you know, if my son wants to wear a pink top, I'm certainly not going to stop him.

"Let kids explore. Kids love exploring. And they don't just have to explore in the dirt with worms and spiders, they can explore with colour and clothes and hair.

"I just let him be him."

Emma previously shut down critics as she spoke up about gender stereotyping and praised her son's individuality and sense of style.

After receiving cruel trolling about her son's appearance, Emma shut down the gender stereotyping and defended his right to wear whatever he pleases.

"I thought: 'Did you not watch '80s dance movies? All the boys wore crop tops and it was cool!"

Emma also explained she has no desire to "suppress" Ace, questioning the logic behind stifling a young child's sense of creativity.

She added: "He is very individual, he dresses the way he wants and he's really happy doing that. Why would I try to suppress that?"

Emma and her husband Matt Willis married in 2008 as they tied the knot three years after they first got together.

The couple shares three children – Isabelle, 11, Ace, and Trixie, four.
