Strictly’s Fleur East treats her curls with this new £20 in-salon shine booster service

With all eyes on the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 contestants at the moment, it’s no wonder some of the stars are keen to book in for some beauty treatments to make sure they’re looking their best on the dancefloor.

Fleur East, who’s partnered with pro dancer Vito Coppola, just treated herself to a salon trip to make sure her trademark curls look pristine for the live shows on Saturdays. The singer, 34, opted to try out a new in-salon service promising to boost shine and improve hair condition and tone in a matter of minutes: Wella Professionals Shinefinity Glazing Service.

The treatment is done over the basin, making it a very speedy booster. The appeal of Shinefinity is it gives hair a slight colour glaze without lifting it with a lightener. It essentially gives your current colour a “just out of the salon” look with minimal effort and zero damage. Perfect for someone with a diary as packed as Fleur’s!

“Went in for a hair refresh [email protected]_stylistwho transformed my curls using the Wella in-salon Shinefinity treatment! James has been doing my hair for 5 years now and he always knows exactly how to make my curls pop! My hair is fresh, smooth and shiny with zero damage to my curls. I love the colour!” Fleur captions the ad post documenting her trip to the salon.

Price wise, Shinefinity starts from £20in Wella salonsfor a 10-min blowdry add-on, or you can try the Shimmer Melt option (balayage plus glaze, from £100) for the full Instagram effect.

Though Fleur used the service to enhance her curls, Shinefinity works on all hair types. Our beauty director Lynne recently tried out the treatment on her straight, flyaway-prone hair, and here’s what she thought of the treatment…

Lynne says:

How do you make your hair shade look better without doing any damage to it? Easy – with a light-reflecting colour glaze. Wella’s Shinefinity salon service is a “top-coat” for hair that combines masses of gleam with a choice of 32 tone-enhancing, no-lift colours, with results that last up to six weeks. It can be done as a standalone treatment to add shine, dimension and softness, or as a perfecting polish to highlights or balayage.

At the risk of sounding like a big show-off, it left my hair advert-level glossy, and I still saw and felt the benefits several washes on.
