Amsterdam-born, Paris-based artist Pieter Ceizer has returned with a new set of wood sculptures dubbed Hope and Peace. Following up his Keep Smiling and Love wood sculptures for Valentine’s Day, Ciezer’s latest creations promote hopefulness, positivity and good vibes ahead of the summer.
Hope features a hand with its pointer and middle fingers crossed. Its title is spelled out across the tips of all four fingers and it’s done up in cobalt blue with a light blue screen print. Peace shows a hand tossing up the familiar peace sign and is centered around a large text graphic on its palm that seamlessly blends in with its outline. It’s done up with the inverse color scheme of its companion, namely light sky blue with a navy print. Both have been crafted by hand, feature dimensions of 12 in x 6.7 in x 2.7 in, are limited to a signed and numbered edition of 12 and come packaged in a custom wood crate.
Look for Pieter Ceizer’s Hope and Peace wood sculptures to release on the Studio Ceizer webstore come May 21 at 12 PM CET.
