DEAR DEIDRE: I’M struggling to cope since my wife moved in with another man before lockdown, taking our two daughters with her.
It’s all happened so fast and I really worry for my girls.

I’m 36 and my wife is 32. I’m not the most openly affectionate person but I did my best to make my wife and children happy.
My parents died when I was young and I was abused by my grandfather before going into care.
Life was tough until I met my wife. We had our girls, now six and four, and I thought we were happy until my wife seemed to be on her phone all the time.
I thought maybe she was bored and tried to understand but she dropped the bombshell that she was moving in with a man from work and taking the girls.
They hardly know him.
DEIDRE SAYS: It will have been a massive change for them both and of course a huge shock but try to stay calm and keep up contact so they know you are still part of their lives.
Tell your wife you are willing to talk about reconciliation – if that is true. Get support and advice through Families Need Fathers (fnf.org.uk, 0300 0300 363).
