DEAR DEIDRE: WE are supposed to be in lockdown but my flatmate keeps letting her male friend into the house every day.
We live in a small town and I don’t yet know of any cases here but his comings and goings are worrying me.

It’s clear he is bouncing around lots of friends’ houses and is in and out of the shops every day. He doesn’t always wash his hands either.
I’ve tried to speak to my flatmate about this but she says I’m being paranoid. We’re all in our 20s. How can I make her understand how risky this behaviour is and how dangerous the virus can be to all.
DEIDRE SAYS: You’re not being paranoid. This friend visiting poses a real risk.
People can be harbouring the virus without knowing it and still spread it to others.
See gov.uk/coronavirus for FAQs on what you can and can’t do. Show both of them and point out that he is breaking the law and you don’t want to report him.
