Marks and Spencer is well known for its Colin the Caterpillar cake range which has proven to be very popular amongst customers over the years. The line now includes a Connie the Caterpillar cake, jelly sweets, mini logs and the retailer has recently launched Colin the Caterpillar chocolate faces.
You can even get personalised Caterpillar cakes as well as the retailer launching new editions of the cake for special occasions.
With Easter just around the corner, Marks and Spencer has launched its Easter Egg Hunt Colin the Caterpillar.
After the controversy over the cakes’ appearance for Easter last year, Colin this year is topped with white chocolate eggs.
Last year, fans said the cake looked as if it was for Halloween with a scary looking bunny on the front of it.
Over 12,000 people commented on a snap of the £10 cake on Facebook, with one writing: “It looks demonic”.
Luckily this year the classic Colin has returned onto the front of the cake, and he even has a top hat on.
Landing in-stores today, the cake costs just £10 and is available nationwide.
Announcing the news on social media, fans loved his new look.

Posting a photo of the new Colin on the Marks and Spencer Food PR Instagram account, the caption read: “Colin has had an Easter makeover. Launching in store today, the limited edition Easter Egg Hunt Colin is dressed up to the nines in his pink Easter hat, with gorgeous and delicious egg decorations.”
The post gained tens of thousands of likes and comments within hours, with fans expressing how much they wanted to get their hands on one.
One person said: “What I would do for one of those cakes!”
Another wrote: “Doesn’t he look amazing!”
One fan tagged a friend in the post and commented: “We need one for our picnic soon, it looks insane.”
A five pack of mini Easter Egg Hunt Colin is also launching in stores today as well as a Colin the Caterpillar Milk Chocolate Easter Egg.
It costs just £5 and it even comes with a treat bag of white chocolate mini Colin faces.
What’s more, fans can also get the Easter Colin the Caterpillar Cake Gift Bag delivered for Easter which includes six Colin items including the Easter cake.
It costs £30 and is available for delivery from March 25.
Another one of Marks and Spencer’s popular ranges it’s Percy Pig range, which have been on the shelves since 1992.
The Easter Bunny Percy Pig toy, which sees the much-loved pink creature with added bunny ears, hits shelves this week.
This Easter edition comes after the success of M&S’s first Percy Pig toy last year, which launched before Christmas and sold over 10,000 toys in just one day.
Also available in the Percy Pig Easter range is a whopping one-kilogram glass jar of Percy Pig and rabbit-shaped sweets, costing £15.
M&S has a selection of Percy biscuits too, which come in a pink Percy Pig tin with fluffy bunny ears attached to the top of the tin, costing £5.
