Meghan Markle Hollywood role ambitions met with laughter from Joan Collins

Meghan Markle 's quest for a role in a Hollywood superhero movie has not gone down well with actress Joan Collins.

The Hollywood legend has decades of experience under her belt, so it seems she'd be a decent judge when it comes to guessing the star power of other celebrities – even royalty.

Joan was recently asked what she thinks Meghan could do to land a Hollywood role, after reports emerged that her agent Nick Collins is busy trying to get her an acting gig.

Rather than offer a few words of advice or anything positive at all, Joan was instead seen laughing her head off.

Leaving a restaurant after dinner with her husband Percy Gibson, Joan laughed: "You've got to be joking?"

According to the Daily Mail, Meghan's acting agent Nick Collins has been looking over offers for her to return to screens.

A source told the publication: "He has said she wants her return to acting to be part of an ensemble cast in something like a superhero film.

"He's actively seeking such a movie for her. He's saying she is available and open to the best offers."

The source continued: "She knows she can't carry a film as an actress. People won't be able to get past the fact she's Meghan Markle. But she's determined to act again and she thinks a big, ensemble film is the way to go… something that pays big but which doesn't put her front and centre."

Meghan is no stranger to acting, shooting to fame as Rachel Zane on Suits between 2011 and 2018.

She also had very small roles in movies including Horrible Bosses and Get Him to the Greek.

But after doing some voiceover work for Disney, reportedly in exchange for a charitable donation, it seems she's keen to dip her toe back in the acting pond again.

She left Suits in 2018 and went on to marry Prince Harry in the same year.

Since then, Harry and Meghan announced they would be giving up their royal duties and splitting their time between Canada and the UK.
