The move is part of a fundraising drive by the charity.

The video was posted alongside the caption: “‘Duck! Rabbit!’ with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (and Harry, The Duke of Sussex behind the camera), read to their son Archie for his 1st birthday. Happy Birthday, Archie!

“Thank you #DuchessMeghan for helping us to raise urgent funds for our coronavirus appeal by reading “Duck! Rabbit” by @akrfoundation, illustrated by @tlichtenheld (published by @chroniclekidsbooks).”

A body language expert Judi James analysed the clip, providing fascinating insight on the young family.

She told Express.co.uk: “Funnily enough it’s Harry who dominates this cute video as you can hear the chuckles of besotted delight and almost feel his beaming smile from behind the camera even though he remains invisible.

“And there’s also Archie’s expression as he looks towards his dad at the end and even appears to be calling out ‘Dada’ to the camera, although Meghan reads it as a reference to the Duck in the book.”

The expert reveals Meghan and Harry are both beaming with pride when it comes to their young son, who is very energetic.

“The pride and affection emanate from both Harry and Meghan in this clip, although it’s Meghan who is given the job of keeping a wriggling small boy in check when he’s clearly hinting that he’d rather be reading a different book to the one she’s chosen,” Judi said.

Archie seems to have inherited some traits from his mother, including independence.

Judi said: “Like his mother, Archie looks confident and happily focused on doing his own thing here, while Meghan pulls off every trick in the book to keep a lively kid of his age engaged and to keep him on her lap when he might prefer to be off playing.

“At the end Harry lets rip with the kind of calls of praise that suggest he’s super-keen to boost and encourage his small son and the gleam of wide-eyed pride as Meghan looks straight into camera looks to be prompted by both her son and her husband here.”

Is Meghan Markle’s son a prince?

As Prince Harry’s first-born son, Archie should receive the title Earl of Dumbarton, one of his father’s subsidiary titles.

Archie Harrison’s last name is Mountbatten-Windsor, the name of his father, grandfather and great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The original family name is Windsor, however, after Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, it was made that Prince Philip’s last name would become part of the official royal surname.

However, Archie is not a Prince thanks to his great-great-grandfather King George V.

Instead, he is known as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
