The discounted items will be on sale from 5 am and fast food fans will be able to enjoy a 40p reduction on Extra Value Meals and they’ll be happy to learn they can get 30p off of Happy Meals.

Popular items such as the Big Mac, Quarter Pounders with cheese and McNuggets will also be 20p less expensive.

This same deduction applies for the McChicken sandwich, Veggie Deluxe and Filet O’Fish.

The reason for the cheaper menu is that last week chancellor Rishi Sunak announced in parliament that the VAT on food in restaurants, cafes and bars will be reduced from 20% to 5% from 15 July up until January to help the hospitality industry.

And it will certainly help diners because delicious McMuffins will now cost 30p less while breakfast meals will save you a whopping 50p.

The cuts also refer to your morning coffee, otherwise know as life fuel, as black and white coffee will now cost just 99p down from £1.39.

More fancy hot caffeinated beverages such as lattes or cappuccinos will be 30p cheaper, down from £1.79 to just £1.49.

Staple foods such as fries and other cheesy sides will stay at their normal price, however.

The discount will available until 12 January 2021, and in the same speech Rishi Sunak also announced the 'eat out to help out' scheme, which will be effective from August.

The plan is that diners who plan to eat out at restaurants or cafes during August will find that they will receive up to 50% off their food.

This means that customers will be offered half-price meals, up to £10 her head, on meals out during August, however the offer will only apply Monday to Wednesday of each week.

You can use it unlimited times within the month.

The chancellor announced the news in parliament last week, stating that the discount was an scheme that had ”never been tried before in the UK".
