Easter weekend is a Bank Holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, which unfortunately means the vast majority of businesses will have closed their doors for the day. Seeing as all large supermarkets are forced to shut due to government rules, many might be left wondering what exactly they could do about food if they haven’t stocked up with all the goodies needed for a huge slap-up roast? The answer is of course, McDonald’s.
McDonald’s is one of the few fast-food chains which offers meals through a drive-thru or to take-away over the Easter weekend.
You can order McDonald’s via JustEat or Uber Eats, straight to your door.
For those craving takeaways, some businesses may be closed over the bank holiday weekend.
So seeing as last-minute options will be few and far between, here’s all the information you need on McDonald’s opening hours over April 2, 3, 4, and 5.

When will McDonald’s be open over Easter?
McDonald’s luckily don’t fall under the ‘large store’ bracket which many supermarkets do, and they also offer covid-friendly takeaway and delivery options.
Of course, like most businesses, they have amended their hours to give their staff some much-needed flexibility, but you will also still be able to get your mozzarella dippers fix.
To get the most up-to-date information, we recommend checking your local branch as opening hours will undoubtedly vary from place to place.
You can check this by visiting the McDonald’s store finder here, popping in your postcode and selecting your closest store.
The information available currently suggests branches will be open as normal on Good Friday (April 2), Easter Saturday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 5).
However, Easter Sunday is the one you need to watch out for.
It’s important to note McDonald’s restaurants are mostly independently owned franchises, so different locations’ hours on Easter Sunday may vary.
Still, you can expect most McDonald’s hours will either be the same 24/7 if they usually operate within those hours, while others might be open from 6am until 12am.
You can find your local McDonald’s branch information here.
All McDonald’s locations are currently enforcing social distancing and enhancing cleaning procedures.
The chain has also reintroduced some favourites to the spring menu, including Mozzarella Sticks and the Creme Egg McFlurry.
