Love Island star Demi Jones has revealed she has undergone surgery to have her ‘potentially cancerous’ neck lump removed.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram to share a post-surgery selfie saying: “I did it” and that she was “very sleepy” and in a pain.
She smiled tiredly at the camera in her hospital bed wearing a gown with bloody glaze on her throat.
Before she underwent the surgery she posted another selfie throwing the peace sign and thanking her fans for their messages of good luck, saying that she would be in touch to update them after her operation was done.
Demi first announced that she had found a lump on her neck earlier this month and revealed that doctors had warned her to get it removed because they feared it could be cancerous.
She posted an emotional video where she broke down in tears after receiving her test results and telling fans she would have the lump removed so it could be determined if it was cancerous.

She said: “I went to get my results today for my lump. And they think it could be cancerous so I have to have it operated on and removed in the next couple of weeks.
“Nothing is for certain but I'm really worried. I'm sure it'll be fine. It's a shock because you don't think, I was sat there in this waiting room and it was full of old people and I was the only young one there. I thought I'm so young for god's sake.

“I know loads of women go through this,I'll be fine. It might not even be cancer but they've got to cut it out to find out. I'm shocked at the moment.
“I'll be ok, when I get it removed it'll be fine.”
Demi then shared a post encouraging her fans to get any lumps that they are worried about checked sooner rather than later.
She wrote: “Please don't put off getting lumps checked, if appointments keep getting cancelled then you need to chase it up. I was supposed to have this appointment six months ago.
